Distribution Center Manager manages the overall planning, organizing, and operations of a distribution center. Oversees all distribution functions, including order processing, picking, packaging, shipping, and receiving. Being a Distribution Center Manager monitors inventory levels to ensure sufficient levels to fulfill all orders. Balances workloads as needed to achieve production and delivery goals for each shift. Additionally, Distribution Center Manager utilizes software, data, and analytics to optimize operations, track production metrics, and anticipate and resolve problems. Provides the necessary equipment, tools, and training to staff to ensure safe, secure, and efficient operations. Complies with all OSHA and other regulations, policies, safety procedures, and documentation requirements. May evaluate and select transportation or freight services, negotiate contracts, and manage vendor relations. May require a bachelor's degree or equivalent. The qualified candidate must be at least 21 years of age and have a minimum of 2 years of warehouse and forklift experience. Good communication and organizational skills are also necessary. Computer skills and ability to drive a delivery truck a plus. Heavy lifting required. Mandatory overtime when required. Forklift operation experience is required along with repetitive manual lifting of products.
The ideal candidate will oversee the daily operations on the warehouse floor, including but not limited to unloading and loading of trailers, pick and pack of small parcel shipments, custom spring making, inventory control and general warehouse upkeep and maintenance. Looking for a motivated individual with past managerial experience to take the lead role in our warehouse. This individual will need to be able to oversee the warehouse staff as it completes its daily objectives and be able to communicate effectively with the office staff as well as with our Dealer network. This position will have mandatory overtime when needed.
