General Summary: The Assistant Warehouse Manager supports the Warehouse Manager in their responsibilities of directing and managing overall warehouse operations and provides department leadership in the absence of the Warehouse Manager. Duties include administrative and clerical duties in the receiving, storage, and distribution of all items processed through the warehouse in addition to working alongside the warehouse team to complete orders by deadlines.

Essential Job Duties:

• Assist with coordination of warehouse operations to meet goals in a timely, cost-effective, and safe manner.
• Partners with warehouse team and participates in preparing daily orders.
• Daily administration/maintenance of Warehouse Management System (WMS), ensuring data integrity.
• Communicate with and serve as point of contact for all departments and stores in warehouse operations.
• Coordinate with warehouse and department managers to ensure proper purchasing, scheduling, processing, packaging, accounting, and inventory control activities and procedures.
• Assist in ensuring equipment is maintained properly to ensure efficient and safe operating condition.
• Monitor storage racks and other structures to ensure the safe storage of all materials.
• Ensure rotation of inventory to prevent spoilage or outdated product or material.
• Assist in minimizing receiving/selection errors.
• Monitor unloading of all materials received to ensure compliance to safety requirements.
• Resolve discrepancies regarding invoices/packing slips/receiver reports/inventory levels.
• Provide training, coaching, and leadership to warehouse team; referring issues to manager as needed.
• Maintain company standards for cleanliness, safety, and productivity in the warehouse area.
• Follow and assist in ensuring compliance to all company, customer, and government policies, laws, regulations, and standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

• At least 2 years warehouse management experience preferred.
• Associate degree in related field or additional equivalent warehouse experience preferred.
• Excellent written and interpersonal communications.
• Professional appearance and a positive attitude.
• Team player, honest, hardworking, and excellent attendance.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) and basic computer skills.
