Distribution Center Manager manages the overall planning, organizing, and operations of a distribution center. Oversees all distribution functions, including order processing, picking, packaging, shipping, and receiving. Being a Distribution Center Manager monitors inventory levels to ensure sufficient levels to fulfill all orders. Balances workloads as needed to achieve production and delivery goals for each shift. Additionally, Distribution Center Manager utilizes software, data, and analytics to optimize operations, track production metrics, and anticipate and resolve problems. Provides the necessary equipment, tools, and training to staff to ensure safe, secure, and efficient operations. Complies with all OSHA and other regulations, policies, safety procedures, and documentation requirements. May evaluate and select transportation or freight services, negotiate contracts, and manage vendor relations. May require a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Distribution Center Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Distribution Center Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     We are looking for a Warehouse General Manager who is excited to make an impact at our Clickstop distribution center location in Simpsonville, SC. This person will be engaged and aligned with company goals, have the desire and ability to create and communicate a successful team vision, and will be eager to build their team to ensure the continuation of culture as we expand from Iowa to South Carolina.   

      

    • Foster a culture of preventative safety through consistent training and accountability. Ensure safe and efficient processes that produce consistently great results.   
    • Align with Human Resources for training and reporting needs to effectively manage sensitive situations.     
    • Utilize inventory and order data to identify opportunities to improve fill rate by stocking in-demand items and delivering them to customers as cost-effectively as possible. 
    • Support implementation of WMS technology and processes, continuously seeking to understand how we can utilize automations and efficiencies.   
    • Thoroughly understand standard operating procedures, always looking for what’s next. Lead and support future planning and continuous improvement initiatives.   
    • Establish clearly documented goals that will enhance the way we work. Ensure these align with company strategy, produce a better result when complete, and have established and communicated milestones for when goals will be hit.   
    • Invest in the development of top performers, encouraging and supporting growth opportunities through regular 1:1’s and goal setting.    
    • Set a high bar for performance and protect culture and payroll through coaching up or out as necessary.  
    • Hire and retain great people to build strong teams and develop leaders.   
    • Maintain appropriate staffing levels.    
    • Keep payroll and other expenses in line to support business needs and advocate for anticipated new hires to keep ahead of demand.   
    • Establish benchmarks on staffing and payroll levels and proactively plan for hiring and attrition. 
    • Ensure inventory accuracy at all times, performing cycle counts according to schedule, with good record-keeping, and detail-oriented organization.   
    • Obsessively deliver on brand promise (get customers what they want when they need it) for all Clickstop brands by shipping orders accurately, on time, and arriving to the customer in great condition.
    • Ensure adequate packaging materials and supplies are always available. The right packaging materials are used for great presentation to customers and to minimize waste.   
    • Set schedules for incoming deliveries for containers and other LTL or parcel freight. All orders are safely unloaded, quality checks performed, and put away.     
    • Ensure daily pickups are scheduled and picked up on time for all outbound shipments; express, ground, and LTL.
    • Great communication with Urbana Headquarters, Operations leaders, and all other departments. Collaborate with other departments as needed to produce great results across all locations and provide a consistently great customer experience.    
    • Develop and execute plan to introduce manufacturing capabilities to increase fill rate, deliver on brand promise, and drive profitability. 
    • Maintaining the facility: essential facilities maintenance, basic repairs, waste disposal, and other facilities needs.

    • Leadership and management for all employees and activities of our South Carolina Distribution Center.    
    • Ability to manage teams to support all receiving, fulfillment, and inventory functions while fostering a great workplace culture based on our established values.    
    • Our South Carolina DC will be an extension of our Urbana headquarters and great communication between these locations will be extremely important. This is our newest operation and will require great attention to detail as additional skus are added, you support implementation of new technologies, and you build a team of Rockstars.   
    • Excellent execution of large initiatives including the introduction of manufacturing capabilities and the implementation of WMS (including new system onboarding, physical barcoding, technology adaptation, and training).
