Distribution Center Manager manages the overall planning, organizing, and operations of a distribution center. Oversees all distribution functions, including order processing, picking, packaging, shipping, and receiving. Being a Distribution Center Manager monitors inventory levels to ensure sufficient levels to fulfill all orders. Balances workloads as needed to achieve production and delivery goals for each shift. Additionally, Distribution Center Manager utilizes software, data, and analytics to optimize operations, track production metrics, and anticipate and resolve problems. Provides the necessary equipment, tools, and training to staff to ensure safe, secure, and efficient operations. Complies with all OSHA and other regulations, policies, safety procedures, and documentation requirements. May evaluate and select transportation or freight services, negotiate contracts, and manage vendor relations. May require a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Distribution Center Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Distribution Center Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.   • The Facilities Manager directs and coordinates all maintenance functions including equipment maintenance, facilities & utilities maintenance, repair parts/stockroom maintenance, capital projects, contractor and vendor liaison and hands-on management of the Maintenance Department.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Equipment Maintenance: Provide hands-on functional direction for all equipment break-down and preventative maintenance. Coordinate equipment repairs across shifts and respond to plant production and maintenance needs so goals and objectives are met in a timely and professional manner. Evaluate downtime data, operating procedures, equipment capabilities and capacities, and make repairs or authorized modifications or changes that achieve an efficiency improvement or operating cost reduction.
    • Facilities & Utilities Maintenance: Oversee operations of the plant's primary utility equipment to include air conditioning equipment, electrical distribution system, fire protection system, compressed air system, and water distribution system. Ensure that necessary repairs and improvements are made to plant buildings, grounds, utility equipment and production equipment.
    • Stockroom:Ensure optimum supplies of repair parts and that other plant essentials are available for plant and equipment maintenance. Utilize a computerized maintenance management system to manage predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance priorities.
    • Contractor/Vendor/Inspector Liaison: Contract with external vendors, contractors and supply representatives as required.
    • Manage the Maintenance Department: Ensure that departmental resources, including staff, budget, spaces, equipment and supplies are available and capable of achieving the department's purpose, responsibilities and goals.
    • Regular attendance is an essential function of the job

    Requirements :Job Qualifications – Education and Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree preferred
    • 10 years’ experience as a maintenance or construction supervisor/manager experience with emphasis on massive conveyor systems and industrial lift trucks
    • Ability to read written communications and understand verbal communications over the phone
    • Must be adaptable to change and accept new responsibilities, projects, assignments, willingly
    • Must accept accountability for own performance and behavior
    • Strong interpersonal skills along with analytical and problem solving skills are required; exercise good judgement

    Physical Requirements

    • Maintain industrial machines, moving furniture and equipment, and extensive use of hand and power tools
    • Requires incumbent to stand, walk, bend, squat climb, kneel, twist and work at heights on an intermittent basis for eight hours a day
    • Hand manipulation including simple grasping, power grasping, pushing and pulling of materials and fine manipulation
    • Reach and work above and below the shoulder level is frequently performed on a continuous basis for as many as five hours a day
    • Lift and carry items weighing 25lbs or less on a frequent basis throughout the day
    • Lift and carry items weighing 25 - 75lbs pounds on an intermittent basis throughout the work week
    • Drive automobiles, forklifts and scissor lifts
    • Work with hazardous machinery and power tools on a regular basis
    • Perform tasks while using a ladder up to fifteen feet in elevation above floor surface

    Must be able to perform this job safely in accordance with standard operating procedures and good manufacturing practices, without endangering the health or safety of self or others.

    The anticipated salary range for this position is $133,700- $153,755 depending on location, knowledge, skills, education and experience. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In
    addition, we offer comprehensive and competitive benefits to Associates (and their families) such as medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability. Eligible Associates are able to
    enroll in our company's 401k plan. Associates will accrue paid time off up to 200 hours per year (inclusive of PTO, floating holidays, and paid holidays). Paid sick time up to 80 hours per year unless
    otherwise required by law.

    Pay: $133,700.00 - $153,755.00 per year
