Dispatcher, Sr. jobs in New Hampshire
Dispatcher, Sr. coordinates drivers and vehicles to convey freight or passengers to assigned destinations in a timely and efficient manner. Maintains contact with drivers to communicate updates, delays, or special instructions and relay delivery status to customers. Being a Dispatcher, Sr. records driver assignments, delivery time, and other transportation data in a computer database to track metrics. Ensures drivers are compliant with all DOT, state, local, and company regulations. Additionally, Dispatcher, Sr. requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Dispatcher, Sr. works independently within established procedures associated with the specific job function. Has gained proficiency in multiple competencies relevant to the job. This position is located at our Hudson, NH location.
Responsibilities include:
- Performing triage on incoming customer calls
- Scheduling service for customers as necessary
- Dispatching technicians to perform service at customer sites as necessary
- Answer phone calls, text or email messages
- Provide customer support as necessary
- Perform miscellaneous administrative tasks including typing, making copies, mailings, record keeping, and note
Requirements include:
- Strong customer service skills
- Above average typing speed
- Strong grammatical and spelling skills
- Competency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Pleasant and professional phone manner
- Neatness and organizational skills
- Excellent listening and communication skills
- The ability to manage multiple priorities
- A strong work ethic and professional appearance
- The ability to perform physical activities outlined in the accompanying physical requirements checklist
- Satisfactory results in a company mandated criminal background check and drug test
- The ability to fit in with our culture of teamwork
- An ability to quickly learn new tasks
