About the Role

As a Truck Dispatcher, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and timely transportation of goods for our company. You will be responsible for coordinating the movement of our truck fleet, drivers, and deliveries, ensuring all shipments are completed safely and according to schedule.

Responsibilities:

• Schedule and dispatch trucks and drivers for pickups and deliveries, optimizing routes for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and warehouse personnel to ensure clear and timely updates on deliveries.
• Monitor driver progress and track shipments using GPS technology.
• Troubleshoot any issues that may arise during transport, such as delays, breakdowns, or weather disruptions.
• Maintain accurate records of all dispatched loads, deliveries, and driver logs.
• Ensure compliance with all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company safety protocols.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in trucking logistics or a related field (preferred).
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
• Proficient in computer skills, including familiarity with dispatch software and GPS tracking systems.
• A valid commercial driver's license (CDL) is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to work with numbers.
