Dispatcher coordinates drivers and vehicles to convey freight or passengers to assigned destinations in a timely and efficient manner. Maintains contact with drivers to communicate updates, delays, or special instructions and relay delivery status to customers. Being a Dispatcher records driver assignments, delivery time, and other transportation data in a computer database to track metrics. Ensures drivers are compliant with all DOT, state, local, and company regulations. Additionally, Dispatcher requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor. The Dispatcher works under moderate supervision. Gaining or has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline. To be a Dispatcher typically requires 1-3 years of related experience. We are a busy Towing and Auto Repair business looking for qualified and experienced dispatcher(s) who are familiar with the City of Corona and surrounding Inland Empire communities. This is not a "trucking or logistics" dispatch position! Knowledge of AAA's latest dispatch program is a must.
Applicants must be responsible, detail oriented, and well organized. Good communication skills along with the ability to multi-task efficiently is critical when call volume spikes. Other tasks include vehicle releases, computer entry, and other office duties.
Full and part time positions are available. Must be able and willing to assist with any shifts. Medical and Vacation Pay are also available. Applicants must pass pre-employment drug screens and criminal background checks to be considered.
