Dishwasher - Big Chill Beach Club

Job Description

Summary of Position: Big Chill Beach Club is gearing up for another great summer season, and we're hiring Dishwashers to join our awesome team! The Dishwasher at the Big Chill Beach Club is responsible for washing & cleaning tableware, pots, pans, and cooking equipment. This person will execute daily maintenance and deep cleaning of facilities, focused on keeping the dishroom & equipment clean and organized. Must Enjoy the Ride! 

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Complete opening and closing procedures
• Load, run and unload dish machine
• Set-up three bay sink with detergent, rinse, and sanitizer
• Stock all necessary cleaning products
• Keep the dish machine clean and report any functional or mechanical problems immediately
• Monitor dish machine water temperature to ensure sanitary wash cycle
• Wash and store all tableware and kitchenware is in appropriate location
• Maintain all dish and food service equipment storage areas
• Keep dish washing area clean and organized
• Maintain adequate levels of clean tableware for dining room and kitchen
• Bag and haul dishroom trash to dumpster at designated times
• Assist with trash removal from other kitchen and BOH areas
• Assist with food prep when needed
• Handle tableware carefully to prevent breakage and loss
• Maintain adequate levels of dish detergents and cleaning supplies in all areas
• Clean food preparation and production areas as required
• Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the restaurant manager or immediate supervisor

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 16 years old
• Must be eligible to work in the United States
• Must have reliable transportation to/from work
• Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 6 hours).
• Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 40 pounds.
• Ability to read and comprehend labels on chemicals
