Disaster Recovery Manager manages the design, implementation, and communication of business continuance and disaster recovery plans and processes that ensure the security and integrity of company data, databases, information systems, and technology. Conducts risk analysis to identify critical operations and systems that are core to continued business operations in the event of a disruption. Being an Disaster Recovery Manager monitors and tests the plans and back up systems. Manages the contracts with required vendors for off-site and other resources required for business continuation and recovery. Additionally, Disaster Recovery Manager develops and deploys training, documentation, and communication of disaster procedures to the organization. Develops service level recovery standards and agreements with vendors. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Disaster Recovery Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be an Disaster Recovery Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.   • POSITION SUMMARY: Under supervision of Program Management, is responsible for overall management and oversight of the Peer Employment Program.  Major responsibilities include the implementation, oversight and development of ongoing opportunities for peer employment to meet the needs of an adult population composed of SMI, dual-diagnosed and/or referred persons. Interacts with community businesses to develop individual job opportunities for members and provides community-based job coaching support as needed. Monitoring employment opportunities for quality, identifying areas for improvement, and routinely tracking outcomes to meet objectives. Responsible for administrative management to include budget creation and monitoring for assigned areas.  Responsible for ensuring all services are provided consistently with REN’s philosophy and values; performs related duties as required.


    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Directs program functions; implements standards, policies, and procedures governing the performance of the program; revises services according to demonstrated member needs and the program’s requirements.
    • Utilizing the zero exclusion mandate works with members to obtain and maintain competitive employment in the community. Develops employment opportunities for members based on identified work goals. Identifies and works with community employers to develop individual placements to meet the needs of the member.
    • Performs and oversees job coaching duties according to established guidelines and provides support to member’s regarding Social Security benefits.
    • Provides individual and group skill development and training to enhance independent living and community integration (e.g., resume writing and interview skills development, job search skills, personal hygiene, problem-solving, bus training, budgeting, etc.).
    • Develops and implements specific plans that support REN’s strategic plan to promote services and increase membership; develops program goals and objectives; defines and recommends objectives; ensures programs are adequately supplied with the supports and resources required.
    • Provides education to employers regarding ADA Laws (Americans with Disabilities Act), the stigma of mental illness, and benefits of hiring a person with mental illness, negotiating reasonable accommodation as needed.
    • Refers to program management on matters requiring clarification, interpretation, or exception to policy or budget.  Keeps supervisor and employees informed as to program plans and progress.  Maintains records to include required tracking and reporting.
    • Ensures direct reports are documenting the progress of each member served and billing is submitted timely utilizing the REN software program, meeting data validation expectations.  
    • Participates in the selection of qualified employees in assigned program positions; provides orientation and on-the-job training for direct reports; ensures that the duties, responsibilities, authority, accountability, and performance standards of all direct reports are defined and understood; identifies training needs, initiates development of direct reports, proactively manages performance and conducts performance reviews as required.
    • Participates in, and performs when required, clinical staff meetings, trainings, all-staff meetings, and other activities as required.
    • Submits timely and accurate timecards, mileage, and reimbursement requests.
    • Completes administrative tasks which may include preparing documents, copying, faxing, and making/receiving REN-related telephone calls

     

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIREMENTS 

    • Knowledge of the principles of behavioral health recovery and adherence to REN’s philosophy.
    • Ability to work effectively as a member/leader of a psychosocial rehabilitation team.
    • Ability to communicate courteously and professionally with members, co-workers, employers, family members, case managers, and other community stakeholders.
    • Ability to generate clearly written documents in appropriate format. 
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality and other professional standards of conduct.
    • Knowledge of SMI diagnoses and behavioral health services delivery systems policies and procedures.
    • Knowledge of state behavioral health individual and agency licensure regulations and requirements.
    • Knowledge of state and local behavioral health resources.
    • Knowledge of administrative management processes.
    • Knowledge of employment-related services, skills, and performance management principles.
    • Ability to work effectively with others and to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
    • Ability to work under pressure and address events/crises that may develop unexpectedly.
    • Microsoft Office experience and ability.

     

    EDUCATION/LICENSE/CERTIFICATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

    • The position has a requirement of a shared experience. A shared experience is defined as personally utilizing privately or publically funded behavioral health services, including substance abuse treatment.
    • High school diploma or GED.
    • One year of behavioral health administrative management experience.
    • Demonstrated experience in developing and creating programs for behavioral health recipients.
    • One year of supervisory experience in a behavioral health setting is preferred.
    • Completion of Peer Support Training and Peer Support Certification.
    • A current Arizona Driver's License and a current satisfactory 39-month Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
    • Must be 21 years of age.
    • Possession of, or the ability to obtain, the following:
    • CPR and First Aid certifications
    • Evidence of freedom from infectious pulmonary tuberculosis
    • Bilingual preferred but not required.

    • Standard office environment and mobility to travel between various organizational worksites and/or external meetings.

    • Must be able to observe member behaviors.
    • Must be able to detect unsafe and/or unsanitary conditions (e.g., smoke, natural gas, spoiled food, etc.)
    • Must have sufficient mobility to travel between work site and program/activity sites.
    • Must be able to accomplish job coaching tasks at various placements.
    • Must be able to write, use a computer keyboard, and telephone and fax machines.
