Disaster Recovery Manager manages the design, implementation, and communication of business continuance and disaster recovery plans and processes that ensure the security and integrity of company data, databases, information systems, and technology. Conducts risk analysis to identify critical operations and systems that are core to continued business operations in the event of a disruption. Recovery Café operates two cafés in Seattle and operates the Recovery Café Network, which provides training and support to 65 Member Cafés across the US and Canada.

POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Finance Manager is a valued member of the Recovery Café team and provides integral support for the mission of transforming lives. Reporting to the Director of Finance and Administration, the Finance Manager is essential in ensuring Recovery Café practices responsible stewardship and maintains the financial health to live out our mission for decades to come. The Finance Manager is responsible for daily accounting functions, banking and financial monitoring, and grant reporting. Additionally, the Finance Manager oversees vendor contracts, leads the annual audit and budget processes, and spends a small amount of time supporting human resources coordination. This role requires a person with acute attention to detail, a high level of accuracy, integrity, and the ability to work with a variety of non-finance professionals. Main duties include: (1) financial monitoring and reporting; (2) grant reporting; (3) accounting, reconciliations, accounts payable and receivable, and payroll functions; (4) budgeting; (5) GAAP compliance; and (6) contracts and insurance.

FINANCE MANAGER RESPONSIBILITIES
· Prepare financial reports for grant applications, grant reporting, board meetings and finance committee meetings
· Maintain grant agreements, track grant spending progress
· Develop annual budgets and manage allocations appropriately in QuickBooks
· Process all check and cash deposits
· Pay bills and vendor invoices in a timely manner and allocate expenses
· Manage credit card statements and reconcile all activity
· Reconcile bank and investment accounts
· Reconcile credit card donations with bank account statements
· Reconcile accounting records with donor database records
· Research and resolve discrepancies
· Ensure all revenues and expenses are tracked by class
· Monitor account balances and reallocate funds as needed
· Maintain well-organized and up-to-date files for financial reports, deposits and payments
· Process timesheets and submit payroll summary to contract bookkeeper
· Process retirement contributions and complete annual retirement account filings
· Provide documentation and communications for annual audit
· Assist with periodic financial analysis
· Negotiate and monitor vendor contracts
· Maintain insurance and property records
· Renew annual licenses and permits
· Implement and update financial policies and procedures
· Assist with administering employee benefits and other HR coordination
· Other special projects as needed
QUALIFICATIONS
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting-related field, or equivalent work experience related to finance, bookkeeping, or budgeting
· 4 years work experience in accounting, A/R, A/P, payroll, bank reconciliations, or financial reporting
· Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
· Strong organizational and time management skills, with ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize urgent needs and meet deadlines
· Able to work independently as well as with a highly connected team
· Strong problem-solving abilities
· Able to oversee and safeguard confidential and sensitive information, and to exercise discretion, sound judgment, tact, and diplomacy in all communications
· Excellent communication skills, both written & verbal, and must have the ability to communicate effectively across all functional levels
· Working knowledge of QuickBooks preferred
· Experience in non-profit accounting preferred
· Lived experience with addiction, homelessness, or mental health challenges a plus
