Disaster Recovery Manager manages the design, implementation, and communication of business continuance and disaster recovery plans and processes that ensure the security and integrity of company data, databases, information systems, and technology. Conducts risk analysis to identify critical operations and systems that are core to continued business operations in the event of a disruption. Being an Disaster Recovery Manager monitors and tests the plans and back up systems. Manages the contracts with required vendors for off-site and other resources required for business continuation and recovery. Additionally, Disaster Recovery Manager develops and deploys training, documentation, and communication of disaster procedures to the organization. Develops service level recovery standards and agreements with vendors. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Disaster Recovery Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be an Disaster Recovery Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Summary of Position: 

    Responsible for driving company-wide quality assurance that supports the organization’s goals and objectives as it relates to our product, customer requirements, and our ISO 9001 Quality Management System (QMS). This includes working with all interested parties such as customers, external providers, manufacturing, engineering, and other departments to ensure procedures, testing methods and processes are implemented to produce acceptable and consistent gas turbine, controls, heat exchanger, and recuperator product and services compliant with our customer’s requirements and our QMS. 

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Implement and improve the company Quality Management System (QMS). Serve as QMS Management Representative while leading the ISO 9001 implementation and processes for company certification and subsequent compliance.
    • Track company-wide quality performance metrics, process stability and capability, testing capability and effectiveness; manage internal audits; take appropriate actions to ensure quality goals are achieved.
    • Actively drive the company correction, prevention, and improvement action processes.
    • Actively participate in the root cause analysis of customer complaints and support the corrective and prevention action portion of the process.
    • Support qualification of new supply activities (new external providers or new parts with current external providers), establish effective control plans and process development with external providers in order to improve quality and lessen reliance on incoming inspection.
    • Track external provider quality performance. Manage response, containment, correction and prevention of external provider non-conformances.
    • Drive quality compliance for changes in product design and/or realization processes by assessing quality risk, developing quality control and gage plans, developing supporting documentation, records, and training content, and implementing new or changed processes as appropriate.
    • Support day-to-day quality assurance and lean manufacturing activities in production and service to ensure product and service quality processes are followed and compliant output is realized.
    • Manage M&TE compliance program including calibration, gage capability assessment, and availability.
    • Manage all QMS maintained and retained documented information for the business.
    • Supervise quality employee(s)
    • Transition Quality Management system procedures and quality records to the new company support software such as SharePoint and ERP software as needed.
    • Support EHS compliance for company

    Qualifications:

    • Formal Education Requirement: A degree in a Quality or Engineering field is required; formal Quality, Lean and QMS lead auditor training is a plus.
    • Minimum Years of Experience Necessary: 5 years of quality management and implementation experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

    • Deadlines of multiple internal and external customers supported simultaneously. Develop schedules and allocate labor to meet all requirements. Communicate schedules clearly to customers.
    • Familiarization with the requirements of ISO-9000 Quality Management Systems and Mil-Std-45208 Inspection System Requirements. Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, interpret ANSI Geometric Tolerancing, read and understand electrical and control schematics, drawings and supporting documentation.

    • Employees are expected to perform all duties listed above as well as all other duties assigned by their manager to support the overall objectives of the business.
    • Position may require travel to customer or external provider sites to provide support.

    • This job operates in a professional office and plant floor environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets. Plant floor environment typically requires the use of PPE such as safety shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection, cut-resistant gloves, etc.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
