Disaster Recovery Manager manages the design, implementation, and communication of business continuance and disaster recovery plans and processes that ensure the security and integrity of company data, databases, information systems, and technology. Conducts risk analysis to identify critical operations and systems that are core to continued business operations in the event of a disruption. Being an Disaster Recovery Manager monitors and tests the plans and back up systems. Manages the contracts with required vendors for off-site and other resources required for business continuation and recovery. Additionally, Disaster Recovery Manager develops and deploys training, documentation, and communication of disaster procedures to the organization. Develops service level recovery standards and agreements with vendors. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Disaster Recovery Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be an Disaster Recovery Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.   • The Environmental and Industrial Business Unit (EIBU) Safety Manager (Environmental Safety Manager) is a liaison position between EIBU operations and the Vice President of Safety and Compliance. The Environmental Safety Manager will oversee the corporate safety program across all subsidiaries within the EIBU. The Environmental Safety Manager will be responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of individuals involved in activities under the EIBU portfolio and will work closely with the Company’s Safety Training Manager to develop and deliver applicable training programs.


    Role and Responsibilities
    • Manage Environmental Safety Team
    • Develop, implement, and oversee comprehensive safety programs and policies.
    • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to safety.
    • Conduct thorough risk assessments for EIBU operations.
    • Identify potential hazards and develop strategies to mitigate risks.
    • Stay abreast of industry regulations and standards related to safety.
    • Ensure that all EIBU activities comply with local, national, and international (where applicable) regulations.
    • Communicate with project managers, operations teams, and other relevant stakeholders to ensure a clear understanding of safety protocols.
    • Conduct thorough investigations of incidents and near misses.
    • Implement corrective actions to prevent the recurrence of incidents.
    • Maintain detailed records of operations, including safety procedures, equipment inspections, and incident reports.
    • Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
    • Working with applicable stakeholders, establish and enforce medical fitness standards for employees.
    • Collaborate with medical professionals to ensure that employees are physically and mentally fit for operations.
    • Develop and implement emergency response plans for incidents.
    • Conduct drills and exercises to ensure that all team members are well-prepared to respond to emergencies.
    • Working with the Company’s Safety Training Team, coordinate and provide training for employees, including field staff, support staff, and supervisors.
    • Working with the Company’s Safety Training and Qualifications Teams, ensure that all personnel involved in EIBU activities hold the necessary certifications and qualifications.
    • Provide support in the inspection and maintenance of applicable equipment to ensure it meets safety standards.
    • Regularly review and update safety procedures based on lessons learned and changes in industry standards.
    • Seek opportunities for continuous improvement in safety practices.
    • Ensure Safety Team completes and performs job site kickoffs, visits, and audits in accordance with company and client standards.
    • Conducts various internal safety and compliance-based assessments to audit conditions and safe work practices at jobsites.
    • Participate in meetings as applicable.
    • Attend, represent and participate in industry and client related safety meetings.
    • Communicate and work with various third parties, including commercial insurance brokers and providers.

    Qualifications and Education Requirements
    • Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
    • CSP, ASP, CHST or OHST or similar designation preferred.
    • Preferred 5-10 years of environmental and/or construction safety experience.
    • Valid driver’s license.

    Preferred Skills
    • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
    • Self-motivated with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, internet, and other basic office applications.
    • In-depth understanding of OSHA, NFPA, DOT, EPA, and other applicable regulations.
    • Must possess working knowledge of industry requirements for equipment.
    • Ability to proactively identify issues and offer solutions.
    • Understanding of Worker’s Compensation Claims.
    • Ability to work with a team and independently
    • Travel to project sites and regional offices.
    • Ability to respond to afterhours emergencies.
