Disaster Recovery Manager manages the design, implementation, and communication of business continuance and disaster recovery plans and processes that ensure the security and integrity of company data, databases, information systems, and technology. Conducts risk analysis to identify critical operations and systems that are core to continued business operations in the event of a disruption. Being an Disaster Recovery Manager monitors and tests the plans and back up systems. Manages the contracts with required vendors for off-site and other resources required for business continuation and recovery. Additionally, Disaster Recovery Manager develops and deploys training, documentation, and communication of disaster procedures to the organization. Develops service level recovery standards and agreements with vendors. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Disaster Recovery Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be an Disaster Recovery Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Job Description:

    As part of the technology team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the resilience and continuity of operations by developing and implementing effective disaster recovery strategies. Your responsibilities will include analyzing business requirements, designing and configuring disaster recovery solutions, conducting risk assessments, and performing regular testing to ensure the efficiency of recovery procedures.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate with infrastructure and application teams to integrate disaster recovery mechanisms into existing systems.
    • Conduct risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and develop mitigation plans to enhance infrastructure resilience.
    • Regularly perform disaster recovery testing and simulations, analyzing results and updating recovery plans accordingly.
    • Participate in incident response activities, troubleshooting and resolving issues related to recovery processes and systems.
    • Implement monitoring and alerting systems to proactively identify potential disaster recovery issues.
    • Collaborate with vendors and service providers to evaluate and implement disaster recovery solutions and manage service level agreements.
    • Stay informed about industry best practices, trends, and regulatory requirements related to disaster recovery.
    • Provide user support to ensure seamless operation of IT resources for efficient organizational functioning.
    • Perform related tasks as required.

    Qualifications:

    • Minimum 4 years of experience in a disaster recovery or similar role, preferably in a complex enterprise environment, or equivalent education and experience.
    • Experience with disaster recovery technologies, cloud-based solutions, and hybrid cloud architectures.
    • Proficiency in IT infrastructure, networking, and storage technologies.
    • Knowledge of project management practices and procedures.
    • Power User of NetApp, VMWare, and Cohesity
