Disaster Recovery Manager manages the design, implementation, and communication of business continuance and disaster recovery plans and processes that ensure the security and integrity of company data, databases, information systems, and technology. Conducts risk analysis to identify critical operations and systems that are core to continued business operations in the event of a disruption. Being an Disaster Recovery Manager monitors and tests the plans and back up systems. Manages the contracts with required vendors for off-site and other resources required for business continuation and recovery. Additionally, Disaster Recovery Manager develops and deploys training, documentation, and communication of disaster procedures to the organization. Develops service level recovery standards and agreements with vendors. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Disaster Recovery Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be an Disaster Recovery Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Chestnut Health Systems is seeking a full-time Recovery Case Manager for our Bloomington, IL facility.

     

    Chestnut Health Systems is a leading provider of behavioral and primary health care services. Over four decades, Chestnut has grown to over 700 committed, compassionate employees providing substance use, mental health and primary care treatment to patients in Central and Southern Illinois. We provide fully integrated care for all of our patients by combining behavioral health care services with our community-based primary care health centers. Chestnut also conducts research and training throughout the U.S.A.

    Responsibilities

    • Complete required data entry and paperwork in accordance with program and agency policies and procedures, including but not limited to opening requirements, assessments, treatment/recovery plans, progress notes and any other funder requirements:
      • 100% of assessments and treatment/recovery plans to be completed prior to due dates and,
      • 80% of progress notes and any other required data entry or paperwork submitted within forty-eight hours of the delivery of the service.
    • Provide direct at home services in collaboration with the Intact Family Recovery team to support families identified with alcohol and other substance abuse disorders in their recovery by coordinating services, resources and people to assist clients, monitoring the progress of clients in achieving their established SUD service plan.
    • Develop effective working relationship with the SUD providers, Intact Family team, and DCFS.
    • Support engagement in drug treatment, community, etc.
    • Work in collaboration with the Intact Family Team to assist family members in understanding, dealing with, and supporting the client.
    • Facilitate individual and/or group orientation or education sessions (as required).
    • Screen and assess clients for their appropriateness for SUD, mental health, and other services.
    • Provide referrals for identified needs of the client and crisis intervention when needed.
    • Provide ongoing support for clients through their treatment and aftercare plan while engaged in the Intact Family Services.
    • Document the results of assessment, service plans, reports, progress notes, discharge summaries and other client-related activities including accurate reporting of services.
    • Provide specialized case management services to clients and their families with mental health and other needs.
    • Facilitate client drug tests (as required).
    • Assist with finding transportation services to treatment for clients.
    • Represent clients and agency at staffing and court hearing, probation, parole and provider networks.
    • Interview clients, review records, and confer with other professional to review client progress and to determine their suitability for program participation.
    • Maintain a caseload of at least 15 families.
    • Attend in-service trainings, conferences and educational sessions (as required).
    • Participate in clinical and multi-disciplinary staffing with the Intact Family and/or SUD providers.
    • Ensure regular communication on the SUD treatment status of clients with the Intact Family providers and DCFS.
    • Complete and maintain all required documentation pertaining to clients required by providers and evaluation (documentation, ECR, letters and status reports, etc.).
    • Promote the recovery model of treatment including trauma-informed care, hope, respect, empowerment, health/wellness and spirituality/connectedness by assisting consumers with regaining control over their own lives through self-directed recovery; including utilizing recovery language in all applicable documentation.
    • Promote positive interactions within Chestnut and with the community, especially with managed care companies and other medical personnel, in order to sustain a favorable program reputation.
    • Attend meetings and consumer staffings, participate in program development activities and provide support and backup to other team members as necessary, including:
      • Attending and ensuring supporting documentation of 100% of monthly, required Rule 132 supervision if not a LPHA, and
      • Attending all mandatory Chestnut trainings and CEU requirements if applicable.
    • Promote Chestnut’s culture of customer service excellence through the adherence to Chestnut’s behavioral standards for customer service.

    Qualifications

    • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent and five (5) years’ supervised mental health experience; or a bachelor’s degree in counseling, social work, education, psychology or related human service field; or a bachelor’s degree in any other field with two (2) years’ supervised clinical experience in a mental health setting; or a master’s degree in counseling, psychology, social work or related field.
    • Must obtain Certification in Assessment and Referral Specialist (CARS) or Certified Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse Counselor certification (CADC), within two (2) years’ of being hired for position.
    • Requires basic computer skills and experience to include MS Word, MS Excel, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat and an electronic medical record (EMR).
    • Satisfactory completion of Chestnut’s background checking process.
