Disaster Recovery Director leads the development of a comprehensive business continuity strategy and programs, plans, and toolsets that support response, develop resiliency, and enable recovery from events that disrupt business operations. Establishes a framework and methodology to manage all business continuity life cycle activities, including risk assessment, business impact analysis, strategy development, implementation, testing and review, plan maintenance and updates. Being a Disaster Recovery Director leads periodic review, validation, and workflow testing of documented business continuity plans. Develops and implements organization-wide training and communications. Additionally, Disaster Recovery Director supports internal audits and regulatory exams of compliance with required regulations. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. May require the Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) or similar BCP certification. Typically reports to top management. The Disaster Recovery Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Disaster Recovery Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     General Job Description

    Certified Peer Specialists (CPS) identify themselves as having a mental health recovery experience of their own and use it to support others with mental illnesses or emotional disturbances to overcome barriers on the path to wellness. CPS serve their peers by helping them reach their self-identified recovery goals as well as to reintegrate into the community. We serve youth and young adults, age 14 to 26, as well as adult peers. We also have a forensic peer support program, serving peers involved with the criminal justice system. The ideal CPS is a positive, empathetic, and open-minded person who’s maintained their own course of wellness and recovery for at least six months to a year. They must also be able to work independently as well as part of a team.

    Qualifications

    • Formerly received or currently receiving behavioral healthcare for a serious mental illness or emotional disturbance.
    • Possess 12 months (consecutive or not) of verifiable work or volunteer experience or at least 24 post-secondary education credit hours within the past three years
    • Has a high school diploma or GED
    • Is at least 18 years of age
    • Must have reliable transportation
    • Already completed the necessary two-week CPS training approved by the Pennsylvania Certification Board (PCB)
    • Maintain CPS certification through the PCB

    Must obtain the following Clearances BEFORE HIRE

    • PA Criminal Record
    • Child Abuse History
    • FBI Clearance- PA Department of Human Services

    Description of Duties

    • Build trust and compassion with peers through personable, relatable and approachable demeanor
    • Help peers develop an Individual Recovery Plan (IRP)/goal plan
    • Complete necessary documentation with peer for progress measurement and program compliance
    • Assist peers in working through action steps and objectives of their IRP/goal plan
    • Accompany or direct peers in accessing community resources such as housing, transportation, healthcare, etc.
    • Promote the importance of both formal (e.g. healthcare providers) and natural supports (e.g. friends and family)
    • Support peers in identifying appropriate coping skills, self-care and wellness actions for their recovery
    • Encourage peers to advocate for themselves and problem solve when recovery barriers arise
    • Teach independent living skills such as housekeeping, budgeting, cooking, job-readiness, etc.
    • Acknowledge when a peer’s needs exceed CPS services and contribute to making necessary referrals
    • Participate in regular staff meetings and supervisions to promote professional development and cohesiveness amongst coworkers
    • Obtain 18 hours of continuing education per calendar year in relevant material to stay compliant with regulations and effective in the field work

    Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
