Disaster Recovery Director leads the development of a comprehensive business continuity strategy and programs, plans, and toolsets that support response, develop resiliency, and enable recovery from events that disrupt business operations. Establishes a framework and methodology to manage all business continuity life cycle activities, including risk assessment, business impact analysis, strategy development, implementation, testing and review, plan maintenance and updates. Being a Disaster Recovery Director leads periodic review, validation, and workflow testing of documented business continuity plans. Develops and implements organization-wide training and communications. Additionally, Disaster Recovery Director supports internal audits and regulatory exams of compliance with required regulations. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. May require the Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) or similar BCP certification. Typically reports to top management. The Disaster Recovery Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Disaster Recovery Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. This position will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination of the Business Continuity Management (BCM) Program which encompasses the governance of Technology Recovery (aka Disaster Recovery), Business Continuity and Vendor Continuity at TFS.
What you’ll be doing:
o Coordinates the company’s Business Continuity Management (BCM) Program including Business Continuity, Technical Recovery, and Vendor Continuity
o Provide effective second line challenge and oversight of BCM plans.
o Develop, review and enhance Business Continuity Management policy, programs and procedures
Qualifications/ What you bring (Must Haves) – Highlight Top 3-5 skills required.
o 1-4 years of relevant work experience (in similar field and/or industry)
o Ability to develop strong partnerships and influence people
o Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, VISIO
Added bonus if you have (Preferred):
o 2-5 years financial services, preferably auto finance experience
o Bachelor’s degree in emergency Mgmt., Risk Mgmt., Business studies, Safety or equivalent work experience required.
o Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP), Certified Business Continuity Manager (CBCM), or equivalent
