Disaster Recovery Director leads the development of a comprehensive business continuity strategy and programs, plans, and toolsets that support response, develop resiliency, and enable recovery from events that disrupt business operations. Establishes a framework and methodology to manage all business continuity life cycle activities, including risk assessment, business impact analysis, strategy development, implementation, testing and review, plan maintenance and updates. Being a Disaster Recovery Director leads periodic review, validation, and workflow testing of documented business continuity plans. Develops and implements organization-wide training and communications. Additionally, Disaster Recovery Director supports internal audits and regulatory exams of compliance with required regulations. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. May require the Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) or similar BCP certification. Typically reports to top management. The Disaster Recovery Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Disaster Recovery Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.   • The Director of Operations is responsible for overseeing facility operations providing a variety of services that optimize operational activities for the facility. The Director of Operations works across all disciplines of the organization to help develop and implement standard administrative and fiscal operating procedures. The Director of Operations will maintain standards of quality care and compliance amongst all supervised personnel and vendors. Position report to Executive Director.

    AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

    • Ensures billing operations are conducted in a manner that is consistent with overall department protocol, and are in compliance with Federal, State, and payer regulations, guidelines, and requirements
    • Directs strategic conception, implementation, and maintenance of reimbursements strategies and systems designed to maximize collections
    • Oversees the operations of the billing department, encompassing coding, charge entry, claim submissions, payment posting, AR follow up, and reimbursement management
    • Serves as the organization’s expert regarding billing or insurance concerns
    • Acts as a liaison to clinical department involving insurance coverage /authorization issues
    • Keeps up to date with carrier rule changes and distributes the information throughout the organization
    • Analyzes trends impacting charges, coding, collections, AR, and takes appropriate action
    • Participates in the development and implementation of new operations policy and procedure
    • Provide oversight to the facility’s administrative vendors
    • Coordinate patient payments and facility invoices with accounting
    • Supervises billing department staff
    • Other duties as necessary

    REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
    • A minimum of two years medical insurance knowledge and operational experience in a behavioral health setting required
    • Knowledge of addictions.
      Ability to interact with a multi-disciplinary team to assist in facets of the facility.
      Knowledge of TJC, BSAS, and DMH compliance standard, facility maintenance, policies, and procedures
      Knowledge and competency in problem solving, stress management, ethics, and team building.
      Knowledge of facility operations that includes:
          • Vendor management
          • Knowledge of contractual agreements
          • Ability to determine if a property emergency exists and to take appropriate action, when necessary
          • Knowledge of emergency procedures
          • Knowledge of Federal, State and Municipal laws and/or regulations that regulate the treatment of alcoholism and drug addiction, including:
            • Confidentiality
            • Patient Rights
          • Professional Code of Ethics
