Disaster Recovery Director leads the development of a comprehensive business continuity strategy and programs, plans, and toolsets that support response, develop resiliency, and enable recovery from events that disrupt business operations. Establishes a framework and methodology to manage all business continuity life cycle activities, including risk assessment, business impact analysis, strategy development, implementation, testing and review, plan maintenance and updates. Being a Disaster Recovery Director leads periodic review, validation, and workflow testing of documented business continuity plans. Develops and implements organization-wide training and communications. Additionally, Disaster Recovery Director supports internal audits and regulatory exams of compliance with required regulations. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. May require the Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) or similar BCP certification. Typically reports to top management. The Disaster Recovery Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Disaster Recovery Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     As a recovery coach, your primary responsibility is to assist individuals with substance use disorder in their recovery journey. 217 Recovery provides important services to clients, one being safe and reliable transportation for clients to and from withdrawal management, treatment centers, sober living, or their homes in Michigan. A significant portion of the coaching will happen while transporting clients to these destinations. You will be responsible for offering support, guidance, and encouragement to help clients in their efforts towards maintaining sobriety and make positive lifestyle changes. Your role involves building a trusting relationship with your recoverees, providing resources, and helping them develop effective coping mechanisms.

    Recovery Coach Duties & Responsibilities

    • Provide support to individuals seeking recovery from substance use disorder while establishing a professional relationship based on trust and lived experience.
    • Ability and willingness to share personal stories related to substance use and recovery.
    • Empower individuals to create and maintain their own recovery plans.
    • Ability to set and manage personal and professional boundaries.
    • Provides resources to remove barriers to recovery while providing hope, motivation, and encouragement.
    • Transport clients to and from recovery services using a company vehicle.
    • Connects individuals with life skills and resources, while acting as a role model and mentor.
    • Complete coaching/transportation documentation concisely and efficiently.
    • Maintain confidentiality of participants following state and federal guidelines (HIPAA).
    • Represent the organization in a professional manner in all regards.
    • Maintain knowledge and continuing education topics on substance use disorder prevention and treatment, including harm reduction.
    • Supportive of all paths to recovery and encourage the message to "Have Fun in Recovery!"

    Qualifications, Skills, & Experience

    • One or more years of continued abstinence from all substances.
    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Must have a valid driver's license and reliable, insured transportation.
    • Must pass a background check and sex offender registry check.
    • Must pass a drug screen within 48 hours of being offered a position.
    • CCAR training, or willingness to attend 5-day training to receive achievement certificate; attend a 16-hour CCAR Ethics class, suicide awareness class, and messaging class within 4 months of hire. The willingness to obtain MDHHS Recovery Coach Certification (must have two years of continued sobriety).
    • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
    • Ability to lift 25 lbs., and ability to sit for extended periods of time while transporting clients.

    Job Type: Full-time

    Pay: $36,000.00 - $42,000.00 per year
