Disaster Recovery Director leads the development of a comprehensive business continuity strategy and programs, plans, and toolsets that support response, develop resiliency, and enable recovery from events that disrupt business operations. Establishes a framework and methodology to manage all business continuity life cycle activities, including risk assessment, business impact analysis, strategy development, implementation, testing and review, plan maintenance and updates. Being a Disaster Recovery Director leads periodic review, validation, and workflow testing of documented business continuity plans. Develops and implements organization-wide training and communications. Additionally, Disaster Recovery Director supports internal audits and regulatory exams of compliance with required regulations. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. May require the Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) or similar BCP certification. Typically reports to top management. The Disaster Recovery Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Disaster Recovery Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. As the Director of Philanthropy, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing strategies to drive fundraising efforts and cultivate relationships with donors.     Job Summary:

    The Director of Philanthropy manages and executes all High Watch fundraising initiatives. The Director plans, organizes, manages, and directs all fund-raising programs including Capital, Endowment, Planned Giving, and Annual Giving for High Watch Recovery Center. This requires close working relationships with individuals across the organization, especially the CEO and the Board of Directors.

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising plan incorporating strategic campaigns for:

    ➢ Annual Fund

    ➢ Planned Giving

    ➢ Major Gifts

    ➢ Capital campaigns and special projects

    ➢ Foundation cultivation and solicitation

    ➢ Events related to resource development

    • Administer and integrate functions of the development program including Supervise all resource development employees, and contracted services. Give direction to volunteers and staff as appropriate and coordinate with the Board of Directors, Marketing and Development Committees and any other board, and staff, as assigned by the CEO.
    • Provide development counsel to the CEO and Board of Directors.
    • Participate in organizational strategic planning process and policy formulation with leadership for the development components
    • Serve as a principal field officer, responsible for personal solicitation of major gifts, follows up to ensure maximum success, including submission of proposals
    • Work closely with the CEO, The Board of Directors and other organization leaders to develop key donors, prospects, and other constituents.
    • Cultivate the Alumni of High Watch Recovery Center.
    • Oversee event planning including managing annual 5K/5mile fundraising events, special Board events, as required.
    • Develop and implement structure, process policies and procedures for stewardship of gifts including gift accounting, recognition, and reporting.
    • Collaborate with the CEO and Marketing Department to develop promotional and educational materials pertaining to fundraising.
    • Designs and implements a thank you system, and stewardship program for all donors.
    • Prepare monthly reports for CEO and Board of Directors showing status of current solicitations and other development activities.
    • Prepare and present analytics reports from Donor Profit and Raiser Edge.
    • Performs other related tasks as assigned by the CEO.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    Education: College degree preferred but not required.

    Experience: Seven to nine years’ experience in development with five years’ experience in management of a development program having verifiable evidence of providing leadership to an organization relative to Development issues. Significant field experience and success with cultivation and solicitation of major gifts.

    Other: Computer literacy specifically in donor record management, spreadsheet reporting, excellent writing skills.
