Disaster Recovery Director leads the development of a comprehensive business continuity strategy and programs, plans, and toolsets that support response, develop resiliency, and enable recovery from events that disrupt business operations. Establishes a framework and methodology to manage all business continuity life cycle activities, including risk assessment, business impact analysis, strategy development, implementation, testing and review, plan maintenance and updates. Being a Disaster Recovery Director leads periodic review, validation, and workflow testing of documented business continuity plans. Develops and implements organization-wide training and communications. Additionally, Disaster Recovery Director supports internal audits and regulatory exams of compliance with required regulations. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. May require the Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) or similar BCP certification. Typically reports to top management. The Disaster Recovery Director typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Disaster Recovery Director typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience.     As the Director of Product Management for Pure’s Disaster Recovery as a Service offerings, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of product strategy, development, and delivery to build a business for Pure in the Infrastructure Disaster Recovery space. Leveraging your domain expertise, you will drive the strategic direction of our DRaaS offerings, collaborate closely with engineering, customers and other cross-functional teams, and ensure that the product aligns with our customers' needs and business goals.

    Responsibilities:

    • Define overall product and feature requirements and a product strategy with sustainable and compelling differentiation based on customer needs, competitive analysis, market and technology trends.
    • Drive overall roadmap, feature tradeoffs, prioritization and requirements
    • Engage with engineering, solutions, sales, operations, marketing and support teams to successfully bring the product to market. 
    • Engage with sales teams and channel partners to support the sales process and drive the overall customer engagement model.
    • Foster an active ecosystem of customers, partners, technology partners and vendors, both from the perspective of understanding their technology/product roadmap and influencing them to align with Pure strategy
    • Oversee the creation of competitive and SE/Sales support and training material as well as customer presentations.
    • Gather customer feedback to understand key issues, needs and trends in the customer base. Conduct market and technology analysis to get a broader sense of the market and competitive products.
    • Mentor a high-performing product management team, providing guidance, coaching, and career development opportunities.

    WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BRING TO THIS ROLE...

    • Hands-on experience with one or more leading Data Protection, Business Continuity and Cloud Disaster Recovery solutions 
    • 7 years of experience in Product Management  with an in-depth and hands-on understanding of the Data Protection & Disaster Recovery market.
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
    • MBA is preferred
    • Experience in leading teams, delivering White Papers, Best Practices Guides, Product Demos, presentations and Enablement content 
    • Experience in delivering solutions for Managed Service Providers and/or SaaS solutions
    • Broad, overall datacenter and software knowledge with significant enterprise technical depth in the areas of data protection software, storage solutions, networking, and security.
    • Proven track record of taking ownership and driving results
    • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, agile development environment and manage multiple, concurrent priorities and projects
    • Partner with engineering to define product release requirements, infrastructure augmentation, and capacity management.
    • Manage the product line life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities including supporting operations with infrastructure augmentation and capacity management.
    • You will be based in Santa Clara, CA. As this is an office-centric role, you are expected to be present in the office for 3 days a week. As outlined in Pure's Hybrid Work Policy, there will be variations over periods of time, depending on business need.

    The annual base salary range is: $222,000 – $333,000. Salary ranges are determined based on role, level and location. For positions open to candidates in multiple geographical locations, the base salary range is reflective of the labor market across the applicable locations. 

    This role may be eligible for incentive pay and/or equity.
