Disaster Recovery Analyst implements and supports the policies, procedures, and programs that ensure the recovery, security, and integrity of company data, databases, information systems, and technology in the event of a disruption or unanticipated disaster. Performs risk management analysis and documents disaster recovery plans. Being an Disaster Recovery Analyst identifies and secures the necessary off-site resources required for the organization's resumption plan. Develops and executes testing processes to validate the disaster recovery plans and identify the plans' weaknesses and failure points. Additionally, Disaster Recovery Analyst confirms all action plans are documented, communicated, and understood by all stakeholders in the organization. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Disaster Recovery Analyst occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function.     Leading Disaster Recovery exercises and specifically design and implement failover tests, and perform due diligence after the fact to ensure business continuity and complete plans. Building out failover plan and managing the effort to successful completion.
    Tradition project management activities and deliverables: project plans, resource plans, status reporting, financial tracking, project outcomes (creation and updating of playbooks to ensure internal operations team can lead future DR failover efforts on an annual basis).
    Responsible for developing and implementing disaster recovery plans, coordinating response efforts, conducting risk assessments, creating mitigation strategies, ensuring business continuity, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
    PM will be working heavily with Infrastructure and Ops teams, executive sponsor is CTO. Building relationships with the team and stakeholders, jumping into plan to determine what needs to get completed related to resource plans, timelines and execution, risk and issue management, leading steering updates with the team, status updates and reporting. PMs generally wear change management hats, working with communications and training teams.
    Required Experience:
    • Senior Project Manager with 5-7 years of experience
    • Specific experience designing and managing Disaster Recovery plans (3-5 years)
    • Experience transitioning from bubble to failover testing
