Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled experienced Restoration Technician to join our team. As a Restoration Technician, you will be responsible for assisting in the restoration and repair of properties affected by water damage, fire damage, mold growth, and other related issues. This is a hands-on role that requires knowledge of restoration industry practices and the ability to use various tools and equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform water damage restoration tasks, including extracting water, drying affected areas, and removing damaged materials
- Assist in fire restoration efforts by cleaning soot and smoke residue, deodorizing affected areas, and restoring damaged structures
- Conduct mold remediation activities, such as identifying mold growth, containing affected areas, and removing mold-infested materials
- Use hand tools and power tools to build and restore damaged structures
- Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) during restoration projects
- Adhere to industry standards and best practices for asbestos abatement when necessary
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient completion of restoration projects
- Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, including photos, measurements, and detailed notes
Experience:
- Previous experience in the restoration industry is highly preferred
- Knowledge of water damage restoration techniques and equipment
- Familiarity with carpet cleaning methods and equipment
- Understanding of mold remediation procedures and safety precautions
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools for construction and restoration purposes
- Ability to work in physically demanding environments and lift heavy objects as needed
