Disaster Recovery Administrator implements and supports the policies, procedures, and programs that ensure the recovery, security, and integrity of company data, databases, information systems, and technology in the event of a disruption or unanticipated disaster. Performs risk management analysis and documents disaster recovery plans. Being an Disaster Recovery Administrator identifies and secures the necessary off-site resources required for the organization's resumption plan. Develops and executes testing processes to validate the disaster recovery plans and identify the plans' weaknesses and failure points. Additionally, Disaster Recovery Administrator confirms all action plans are documented, communicated, and understood by all stakeholders in the organization. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Disaster Recovery Administrator work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project.     Job Summary:

    The Disaster Recovery (DR) Lead Consultant provides support to multiple assigned more complex technology areas consulting on DR standards, processes, testing, and compliance with little support of the leadership. This role allows for leading lower band employees in projects and making decisions on behalf of the team.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Meet with clients regularly, to ensure their owned applications are in compliance with all technology and Disaster Recovery standards

    • Guide clients in creating Recoverable Units following Enterprise processes and standards

    • Timely communication and follow-up to clients in support of DR standards and compliance

    • Analyze reports and prepare for the discussion of results and recommendations with clients, team and leadership

    • Ensure all recoverable units are ready to be quality reviewed for compliance standards and respond to results in a timely manner

    • Guide clients as they plan and prepare for testing

    • Create and update entries in tools with appropriate information

    • Participate in testing of tools as needed

       Participate in solution/Architecture design reviews

       Perform moderate to complex analysis tasks at the direction of leadership and provide risk and return perspectives

      • Provide ownership to implement more complex projects and team initiatives

      • Participate in discussions offering solutions to issues and concerns presented

      Supervisory Responsibilities:

      This job does not have supervisory duties.

      Education and Experience:

      • 4 year Bachelors Degree (Preferred)

      • 5 or more years of experience (Preferred)

      • In lieu of the above education requirements, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

      Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

      • Disaster Recovery Industry Certification(s) from DRII (CBCP or MBCP) or equivalent
      • Cloud Certification (Preferred)

      Functional Skills:

      • Advanced oral and written communication skills to partner with employees both internal and external to Disaster Recovery and to facilitate meetings
      • Advanced people skills to work effectively either independently or in a virtual environment
      • Proven time management and organization skills; ability to multitask and prioritize
      • Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, SharePoint and working knowledge of Microsoft Visio
      • Familiarity with Computer Networking concepts, Storage/Database/Server/Middleware infrastructure, Cloud Computing, High availability architectures, Backup and Restore technologies and operations
      • Proven ability to learn new technical concepts quickly and perform research for continuous maturity of processes
      • Familiarity with industry standard controls in Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery and underlying processes
      • Familiarity with resiliency related analysis and responses to risks such as ransomware and general familiarity with cybersecurity
      • Familiarity with data center operations and experience with data center level recoveries will be a plus.
      • Inspire trust and confidence through strategic and diplomatic handling of relationships, especially with Sr leadership
      • Ability to analyze and summarize data, and make observations and recommendations to clients, teammates and leadership
      • Possess a fundamental understanding of Thriving in Change as demonstrated by the ability to adapt well to changes in work assignments
      • Demonstrate the ability to proactively identify risks and issues before they happen and recommend solutions
      • Proven ability to lead large projects to completion with or without a project manager

      Compensation offered for this role is $84,500.00-$120,000.00 per year and is based on experience and qualifications.
