We’re looking for a talented Aeromedical Examiner join our aviation team on a permanent basis. This job is part time FTE / 26 hours per week.

AXA Health are the occupational and aviation medical service provider to several of the UK’s largest airlines. We also look after the health and wellbeing of air traffic control officers at some UK airports.

As an Aeromedical Examiner, you’ll be part of an experienced multidisciplinary team in a fantastic culture, focused on flexibility and care.

At AXA we work smart, this role is non-office based meaning you can predominantly work from home. You’ll perform face to face clinics in the Gatwick area subject to the requirement of our airline customers.

We’re also happy to consider flexible working arrangements, such as part-time or condensed hours, which you can discuss with Talent Acquisition.

What you’ll be doing :

• Provide occupational health independent medical assessments for our airline customers, remotely and face to face.
• Offer regulatory and non-regulatory aviation medical advice, subject to experience and appropriate training.
• Maintain compliance with clinical governance protocols, including continuous professional development (CPD) and training activity.

Your Profile

What we’re looking for :

• Full GMC Registration - essential
• Certified UK CAA Aeromedical Examiner (AME) essential. Consideration will be given to UK CAA Occupational Health Medical Practitioner (OHMP) authorised for cabin crew assessments.
• Occupational Health qualification such as MFOM, AFOM or DipOccMed desirable. Further training and support in Occupational Medicine can be offered to suitable candidates.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to produce high quality medical reports.
• Able to thrive in a flexible working model you’ll primarily work from home.

As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorised to work in the United Kingdom.
