  • Position Overview:

    The Director of Total Rewards plays a pivotal role in shaping the employee experience and driving organizational performance through effective compensation, benefits, and rewards strategies. This position requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for driving employee engagement and organizational success.

    Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to the following:

    Strategy Development:

    • Develop a comprehensive total rewards strategy aligned with the organization's goals, culture, and budgetary constraints.
    • Analyze market trends, industry benchmarks, and best practices to ensure competitiveness and compliance with legal requirements.

    Compensation Management:

    • Lead the design, implementation, and administration of compensation programs, including base pay, variable pay, and equity-based compensation.
    • Conduct salary surveys and benchmarking to ensure competitive pay structures.
    • Collaborate with leadership to establish pay philosophies and guidelines.
    • Compensation committee strategy and deliverables in partnership with CHRO.

    Benefits Administration:

    • Oversee the design and management of employee benefits programs, such as health insurance, retirement plans, wellness programs, and other perks.
    • Evaluate benefit offerings to ensure alignment with organizational objectives and employee needs.
    • Manage relationships with benefit vendors and brokers.

    Performance Management:

    • Partner with HR and leadership to integrate total rewards with performance management processes.
    • Develop and implement incentive programs linked to individual, team, and organizational performance.

    Compliance and Governance:

    • Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations governing compensation and benefits, including but not limited to FLSA, ACA, and ERISA.
    • Stay abreast of legislative changes and industry trends affecting total rewards practices.

    Communication and Education:

    • Communicate total rewards programs effectively to employees, managers, and executives.
    • Provide education and guidance to employees on compensation, benefits, and reward programs.

    Analytics and Reporting:

    • Develop metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of total rewards programs.
    • Analyze data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
    • Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior leadership.

    Team Leadership and Development:

    • Lead a team of compensation and benefits professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and mentorship.
    • Foster a culture of continuous learning and development within the total rewards function.

    Tojoinourband,you'llneedthefollowingexperience:

    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and work experience; Master's degree preferred.
    • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) or Certified Benefits Professional (CBP) designation is highly desirable.
    • Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in compensation, benefits, and total rewards management, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role.
    • In-depth knowledge of compensation and benefits practices, including experience with job evaluation, salary surveys, incentive design, and benefits administration.
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven recommendations.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex concepts to diverse audiences.
    • Strategic mindset with the ability to think critically and problem-solve effectively.
    • Demonstrated leadership ability with experience in team management and development.
    • High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.

    Pay Rate: $190,000.00 - $211,000.00annually depending on background and experience. This position is eligible to participate in the Guitar Center Company bonus program based on Company performance.
