Director Materials- Micro Motion Division (Remote)

  • Reporting to the VP/GM of the Micro Motion Division, the Materials Director will lead operations across 3 plants located in United States and India, with a strong execution mindset, as well as be a key member of the division leadership team. Within each site, this leadership position will drive the discipline of SQDC (safety, quality, delivery, cost-competitiveness), to allow the division to grow top line revenue growth and bottom-line profitability. The leader will develop and implement long and short-term strategic plans to meet Division Targets to Improve (TTIs), drive significant plant Key Performance Indicator (KPI) improvements, partnering closely with the site leadership teams while deploying the application of the Regal Rexnord Business System (RBS) which includes 80/20 methodologies and Continuous Improvement.

    Functional Responsibilities

    • Develop a vision and long-term strategy related to the systems, process, and skills roadmap for the future of materials management and SIOP function across the division aligned with the broader RRX organization.
    • Lead supply chain and materials management initiatives by providing direction and guidance as well as setting clear performance expectations and coaching for excellence for key stakeholders.
    • Lead/collaborate with demand planning, product line leadership, engineering, operations, and finance teams to drive cross-functional alignment.
    • Identify opportunities to develop, improve or simplify processes, guidelines and policies for effective supplier management practices, order fulfillment, inventory management and materials management activities.
    • Identify business risks and implementing resolutions and scalable mechanisms across the in-plant materials management and supply chain management function.
    • Build and develop relationships at the executive level with suppliers and partners to ensure contractual commitment, alignment, and accountability.
    • Establish a culture focused on continuous process improvements aimed at achieving predictability and efficient materials management operations.
    • Establish performance monitoring/KPI programs to effectively measure the performance of our internal team and our supply chain.
    • Manage to ensure the SIOP plan is set in accordance to meet customer expectations and that all manufacturing locations are in line to support it.
    • Identify and implement total supply chain improvements. Increase supply chain visibility to assist in inventory reduction and on time delivery. Evaluate networks and pursue systems/process enhancements to reduce costs and improve reliability.
    • Develop analytics to measure, evaluate, analyze, and take corrective action to continually improve key metrics in materials management and the supply chain.
    • Responsible for maintaining and improving all aspects of the Materials Management function.

    PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree from an Accredited University
    • 10 years supply chain management, SIOP management; experience from a best-in-class manufacturer. Multi geography experience is highly preferred.
    • 5 years leadership experience positions within Supply Chain function
    • Proven successful applications of multiple CI tools: 80/20, Value Stream Mapping, 6S, Flow, Standard Work, Visual Management, & Problem Solving
    • Strong operational and financial acumen, executive presence, and the ability to lead multiple locations
    • Critical thinking skills to properly identify problem area & potential solutions

    • Must be able to travel at least 50% of the time domestically and internationally as required
