Position Overview

The Insert Operator is responsible for setting up the insert machine and producing accurate work on a timely basis.  The Operator must work successfully within tight deadlines and use problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment.

Duties / Responsibilities

• Set up and operate insert machines (DMM has Pitney Bowes, Gunther, and Bell & Howell inserters).
• Work jobs with Ironsides technology when required.
• Perform daily maintenance on insert machine to ensure it runs efficiently.
• Conduct quality checks throughout the insert run.
• Complete associated QC sign-off sheets and prepare accurate paperwork.
• Report mechanical problems in a timely manner through appropriate channels.
• Adhere to client confidentiality requirements and HIPAA regulations.

• Act as backup for fulfillment and belter during downtime or as needed.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned to help DMM attain its corporate goals.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
• Experience using Gunther, Pitney, and/or Bell and Howell inserters preferred but not required.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand up to 10 hours each day.
• Periodic physical activity requires walking, climbing, bending, standing, pushing, pulling, lifting, and stooping.

Work Environment

• Normal exposure to office, manufacturing, and warehouse environment.
