Direct Mail Specialist manages all direct mail programs, processes, and materials to insure effective and on-time results. Oversees warehouse inventory and reorders items as needed. Being a Direct Mail Specialist works with Marketing campaign team to select and manage vendors. Tracks and evaluates direct mail program effectiveness and makes recommendations for improvements. Operate and maintain the Digital Printing Press. Serves as a fully trained backup to the Print/Mail Operations Specialist. Also serve as a fully trained backup to our lettershop, document center, warehouse and other production areas as required or when printing workloads are slow.
1. Responsible for proper operation and maintenance of the digital printing press. Also responsible for the proper operation and maintenance of all pre- and post-processing equipment related to this printer. Upon occurrence of a malfunction, responsible for taking preliminary steps to resolve the problem or notify, based upon severity, the individual(s) responsible for correction or repair.
2. Serves as a fully trained backup to the lettershop which includes:
· Assist in performing routine finishing operations as required, including but not limited to; cutting, folding, collating, hand work, and inserting.
3. Serves as a fully trained backup to the document center. Assists with printing and finishing during peak times.
4. Serves as a fully trained backup in the warehouse. Maintains material handling/inventory as related to the mailing process.
5. Responsible for maintaining printing production logs for scheduling and forecasting purposes.
6. Responsible for coordinating the flow of printing products as they relate to the production schedule.
7. Responsible for reporting problems relating to forms manufacturing, paper, or print files to the appropriate authority for review and resolution.
8. Responsible for maintaining and reporting stock usage for all printing projects for proper allocation and waste management purposes.
9. Responsible for attending scheduling meetings for production forecasting.
10. Responsible for quality assurance on all printed deliverables.
11. Maintain area for cleanliness.
12. Must be able to work flexible schedules.
13. Performs other duties as assigned.
