Job Summary:
Kitty Hawk Kites has a multi-faceted marketing strategy which relies on numerous, impactful touchpoints with our customers across interpersonal interaction, static advertising, multi-media content, and targeted digital advertising. This Digital Marketing Coordinator is a critical player on all aspects of Kitty Hawk Kites’ digital marketing strategy and will report to the Marketing Director. The person in this role will be a member of a small, highly collaborative and remarkably industrious marketing team, and will help the company grow in ways within and beyond this job description.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The Digital Marketing Coordinator will be involved in many areas of our marketing strategy, including but not limited to the following:
Digital Advertising, PPC campaigns, and Retargeting:
- Schedule, monitor, and maintain all PPC campaigns (e.g. Google, Meta, Pinterest, others)
- Coordinate with the Marketing Director and e-Commerce Director to achieve >10x ROI on all digital advertising campaigns and enhance reporting procedures and measuring tools
- Oversee geo-fenced and display ad campaigns (internal or via agency) to improve target completion and retargeting
Website Maintenance and SEO :
- Maintain 10 websites (primarily on Wordpress)
- Quarterback the SEO campaign and coordinate with the SEM Rush consultant to achieve steady SEO growth across 3 or more e-commerce sites
- Improve website navigation and develop content pillars to improve the UX/UI, session duration, and other key metrics
- Maintain accuracy of listings, such as adventure pricing and requirements, store location hours, etc.
Email Marketing & CRM management:
- Build effective and aesthetic email marketing campaigns, improve engagement, and increase sales from email sources
- Hubspot CRM: improve existing automation, grow email subscription lists, and maintain cost/output from CRM/marketing platform spend
Third-party listings and Affiliate advertising:
- Regularly update listings on third party sites, monitor and respond to reviews, and ensure the company’s brand is protected and improved via local and regional media partners
- Work to improve referral traffic to Kitty Hawk Kites websites via content placement, image curation, etc.
Education, & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field preferred (Associate’s degree in digital marketing acceptable)
- A minimum of two years relevant work experience
- Experience in e-commerce and retail preferred
- Experience with Google (analytics, ads, business) and Meta (business, creator studio) required
- Experience with CRM software required (Hubspot preferred)
- Demonstrated proficiency on digital platforms (e.g. certification) preferred

- Understand and utilize best practices in PPC and email marketing to grow sales and reduce costs
- Ability to navigate digital platforms with ease; self-starter in learning how to use/optimze new platforms

Working Conditions:
- The work environment for this position is generally an indoor controlled environment. Noise level is moderate; expect noises like office machines and light traffic.
- May be requested to work overtime and weekends during the company’s in-season time period.
- May be requested to drive company vehicle to other locations.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to stand for up to 8 hours. Most of one’s time will be spent sitting at a desk. Expect to lift up to 25lbs occasionally. Some other physical demands come from continuous computer work, package and box management and other warehouse work.
