Digital Marketing Director develops and implements the digital marketing strategy and leads tactical operations to increase product demand, enhance sales, identify additional sales channels, attract traffic to the company website, and promote an online presence. Utilizes search engine optimization (SEO) analytics and search engine marketing (SEM) techniques to increase traffic to the website. Being a Digital Marketing Director leads the development, curation, and deployment of compelling content to attract, engage and retain visitors and promote sales. Employs social media, email, and mobile marketing campaigns. Additionally, Digital Marketing Director reviews online statistics, marketplace trends, and best practices to optimize online marketing performance. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Digital Marketing Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure.     The Director of Marketing and Digital Strategy works collaboratively to ensure day-to-day development, execution, and implementation of the tactical and strategic aspects of institutional and enrollment marketing (with emphasis on graduate and professional studies), brand management and governance, and the Regis website. This will include, but not be limited to, digital advertisements, social media, website updates, email marketing, marketing automation, vendor relationship management, and other marketing materials as needed. He/she will provide clear direction and strong leadership by facilitating a brand-focused culture, data-driven decision making, and engaging in collaborative teamwork.


    Enrollment Marketing (50%*)

    • Collaborate with the graduate, professional studies, and undergraduate admissions teams, external marketing agencies, and key stakeholders to implement multi-channel, audience-specific marketing campaigns to generate inquiries, applications, and deposits to meet or exceed annual enrollment targets.
    • Deploy, as needed, social media ad campaigns to support enrollment marketing as well as special programs.
    • Set clear KPIs to inform continual data analysis, reporting, and iterative improvements to all campaigns and marketing activity.


    Brand Management and Governance (20%*)

    • Brand guidelines maintenance and governance. Serve as the owner of the university’s brand guidelines, ensuring consistent application across all internal and external channels. Update guidelines as needed and educate Regis community and external partners on a regular basis. Serve as a key resource to all university departments for marketing assistance and graphic design support. Triage all marketing requests as they are received and allocate resources as needed to complete.
    • Develop and implement a multi-channel marketing strategy to increase Regis College’s brand awareness and equity in the market. This would include, but not be limited to, paid and organic social media campaigns/content, out-of-home mobile and billboard campaigns, print collateral, etc.
    • Provide updates and guidance on the university’s brand to communications and marketing staff during weekly Newsroom meetings, monthly meetings with academic deans, and regular meetings with external partners.


    Digital Strategy: Website (15%*)

    • Ensure that the content on the Regis website remains current, engaging, and accessible. Oversee and update content, focusing on search engine optimization (SEO), content marketing, and brand consistency.
    • Meet weekly with marketing agency partners and ITS to review website performance, making adjustments and improvements to maintain high SEO performance.


    Digital Strategy: Marketing Automation/CRM Administration (15%*)

    • Provide leadership, direction, guidance, and administration to ensure strong implementation of marketing automation and CRM best practices.
    • Work with program directors, admissions staff, and marketing partners to build out and manage email and other content for student communication journeys in HubSpot.
    • Manage the lead generation strategies for Graduate and Professional Studies, including vendor management, creative execution, and assessment.
      • Implement inbound marketing strategies, creating and managing digital campaigns including social media, content, and search engine marketing.
      • Analyze data from Google Analytics and each marketing platform, as well as national trends, to improve lead generation and ensure that Regis remains competitive in the digital landscape.
      • Build and maintain landing pages for the graduate and professional studies programs.
      • Work closely with the Graduate Affairs team to assist in retention efforts, including updating all graduate affairs webpages, creating web forms, helping with graduate newsletters, and sending out retention-based emails to current students.
      • Generate alumni lists and send out monthly recruiting emails to our alumni base.
      • Work with enrollment team members to manage inventory, order marketing materials, and process invoices.


    OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


    • Manage budget for all brand- and enrollment-related advertising.
    • Serve as a member of the Regis Newsroom team.
    • Serve on committees and participate in special projects as requested.
    • Keep on top of emerging trends in enrollment marketing.


    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:


    • Position may require supervision of student workers.


    • Percentages of time focused on each area of responsibility are approximate for illustrative and planning purposes.


    SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/TRAINING REQUIRED:


    Experience Required:

    • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in marketing, digital marketing, or communications.
    • 5 years of experience in strategic marketing with strong digital understanding. Higher education experience preferred but not required.
    • Experience implementing and managing CRMs and marketing automation tools. HubSpot experience required.
    • Experience creating multi-channel marketing campaigns and using data to measure and drive results.
    • Thorough knowledge and experience using digital ad platforms, specifically Google, Facebook, and Tik Tok Ad Managers.
    • Skillful with Adobe Creative Cloud, especially Photoshop and InDesign.
