Digital Marketing Director develops and implements the digital marketing strategy and leads tactical operations to increase product demand, enhance sales, identify additional sales channels, attract traffic to the company website, and promote an online presence. Utilizes search engine optimization (SEO) analytics and search engine marketing (SEM) techniques to increase traffic to the website. Being a Digital Marketing Director leads the development, curation, and deployment of compelling content to attract, engage and retain visitors and promote sales. Employs social media, email, and mobile marketing campaigns. Additionally, Digital Marketing Director reviews online statistics, marketplace trends, and best practices to optimize online marketing performance. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Digital Marketing Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure.     Lead the charge in amplifying the message of the Greensboro Area Convention and Visitors Bureau (GACVB) across all digital platforms to enhance our marketing and sales endeavors. Curate compelling organic and paid social media content, orchestrate engaging email blast campaigns, and optimize SEO and SEM strategies. The candidate must be eager to learn and take on new responsibilities as opportunities arise. Collaborates with the sales team,
    directly reporting to the Director of Marketing.

    Objectives

    • Develop, execute, manage, track, and optimize all digital marketing for the Greensboro Area Convention and Visitors Bureau on all digital platforms, including SEO, SEM, email marketing, and social media
    • Establish and execute a digital marketing strategy to distribute content
    • Maintain consistent brand messaging and voice across all digital channels
    • Identify, analyze, and measure trends and content to assess performance and optimize user experience
    • Create and maintain an editorial calendar to deliver targeted content
    • Stay up to date with digital marketing best practices and technologies
    • Communicate with industry professionals and influencers to create a strong network

    Requirements

    • Social media savvy, with a passion for staying on top of trends
    • Strong sense of creativity, imagination, and innovation
    • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with other departments
    • In-depth knowledge of various social media platforms and best practices
    • In-depth and demonstrable knowledge of organic and paid digital media
    • Ability to analyze metrics, reports, and trends
    • Strong project management and managerial skills
    • Proficiency in photo and video editing software
    • Experience with SEO and SEM strategy and keyword research
    • Understanding of website analytics tools, including Google Analytics
    • Analytical mind, with a passion for measuring data
    • Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform, and motivate
    • Experience with A/B testing
    • Knowledge of website analytics tools including Google Analytics – GA4 certification a plus!
    • Experience in setting up and optimizing Google Ads campaigns – Google Ads Certifications required within 90 days of employment
    • Up to date with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing and measurement

    Job Responsibilities

    • Create and manage content for The GACVB’s social media, emails, and other forms of digital communication
    • Design, build, and optimize our social media presence
    • Research, track, and analyze consumer behaviors and trends and implement research into digital marketing campaigns
    • Measure and report the performance of all digital marketing campaigns, and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs)
    • Collaborate with the marketing team to brainstorm new and innovative growth strategies and marketing techniques
    • Develop and monitor campaign budgets
    • Stay up to date on the latest social media trends, and implement them in campaigns
    • Plan digital marketing campaigns, including web, SEO/SEM, email, social media, and display advertising
    • Maintain and customize our social media presence across all digital channels
    • Measure, analyze, and report on the performance of all digital campaigns
    • Identify trends and insights, and optimize spend and performance based on the insights
    • Collaborate with agencies and other vendor partners
    • Evaluate emerging technologies. Provide thought leadership and perspective for adoption where appropriate
    • Adhere to Brand Style Guide
    • Other duties as assigned

    Education and Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field
    • 5-7 years experience in digital marketing and related fields
    • Demonstrated track record of successful digital marketing

    campaigns and strategies showcased through a comprehensive portfolio of past
    projects, indicating creativity, analytical skills, and ability to drive
    results.

    Salary and Benefits

    Salary: $57,000-$60,000 based on experience

    Benefits: Full benefits package including health, dental, and vision coverage
