Digital Marketing Director develops and implements the digital marketing strategy and leads tactical operations to increase product demand, enhance sales, identify additional sales channels, attract traffic to the company website, and promote an online presence. Being a Digital Marketing Director leads the development, curation, and deployment of compelling content to attract, engage and retain visitors and promote sales.     Job Description


    Are you an experienced digital marketing executive and digital communications expert with a background in leading and overseeing publications as well as executing digital marketing initiatives within the events space? Are you looking for an exciting position that would allow you to be at the forefront of content development and have a hands-on role in developing and implementing multichannel marketing initiatives that deliver against business goals and objectives? Then look no further! Health Connect Partners is currently hiring a Director of Digital Marketing and Content.

    This role is responsible for leading digital marketing and content initiatives to develop new and commercially viable content products that will drive media, subscription, and event revenues as well as managing performance marketing channels and optimizing website conversion rates for a seamless customer journey. The primary objectives will be end-to-end management of existing content websites and launching new ones as well as creating integrated digital, multimedia, and event marketing content that drives Health Connect Partner’s growth via strengthening the existing positioning, expanding audiences, and serving as a year-round platform for the hospital professionals through highly targeted and valuable industry intelligence to drive engagement both at and between events.

    This position will play a key and hands-on leadership role in building digital brands while ensuring alignment with overall business goals, working closely with the internal team and industry partners, influencers, and leaders on the development and distribution of content and omnichannel marketing initiatives. This role will be a customer-facing leader for multiple brands in Health Connect Partners portfolio and will also serve as a host and moderator for interviews and content capture at Health Connect Partner’s events. This is an excellent opportunity to work with growing brands that need both creative and strategic input. This role will require you to be flexible and dynamic; be a self-starter and work as well autonomously as with a team; think strategically and be hands-on in the execution.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Develop, oversee, and execute a comprehensive digital marketing strategy across multiple industry segments to deliver best-in-class user experiences.
    • Utilize expert knowledge of omnichannel marketing communication to create engagement and nurture strategies driving customer retention.
    • Own conversion rate optimization and analytics tracking for multiple websites and email marketing, implementing a culture of continuous improvement based on KPI analysis, data-driven optimizations, and strategic A/B testing to deliver actionable insights and recommendations.
    • Build and manage cookie synching for high quality targeted campaigns.
    • Serve as in-house expert on SEO best practices across all search engines, responsible for optimizing SEO for all properties and brands.
    • Create, implement, and track the content and digital strategies for multiple brands.
    • Develop, lead, and execute the goals and delivery of editorial programs, including identifying topics and overall content opportunities.
    • Develop and maintain the editorial calendar that reflects each specific sector that the events support.
    • Assist with content development and copywriting for media platforms and events.
    • Partner with the team to create storytelling around brand, events, and digital media that drives marketing content, audience engagement, and supports revenue generation.
    • Manage the strategy and delivery of content revenue and profitability targets.
    • Build and maintain up-to-date media databases for the content sites and work to establish cross-divisional communication between the content and event audiences.
    • Build and manage strategic reporting that leverage existing and new data sets and serve as a tool for understanding the industry, current and future trends, and performance metrics.
    • Oversee testing, analyze performance data, and adjust resources to top performing content elements.
    • Oversee sales activities and staff for content websites; responsible for meeting and exceeding sales and revenue goals for content websites.
    • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in digital marketing and content, applying them to drive continuous improvement.
    • Lead and develop the digital marketing team as the brands develop and revenue grows, including hiring, onboarding, employee development, goal setting, and performance management.
    • Manage and hire a network of freelance writers and contractors that represent the “voice” of the brand.
    • Identify and engage with new and existing partners to build out content opportunities.

    Qualifications
    • 5 years of applicable marketing leadership & execution experience (covering digital marketing, advertising, marketing strategy, brand management and development) with an invested interest in digital event marketing.
    • Experience with performance and channel marketing, including managing and building campaigns in Google Ads, Adroll, Linkedin Ads.
    • Hands-on execution experience of website, paid search, online display, marketing automation, social media.
    • Experience with SEO-led and content-marketing-led campaigns.
    • Demonstrated ability to build and share reports, using data from social media and web analytics including Google Ads, Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, and UTM Tracking
    • Experience with web-based mass email tools, such as Mailchimp, and content management systems (CMS) is preferred.
    • Excellent oral and written skills in English; creative experience as a copy writer and/or copy editor is preferred.
    • Highly effective communicator through email, phone, video, and in person.
    • Experience creating and running a P&L.
    • Experience diversifying and growing revenue streams and audience, via content and digital marketing.
    • Proven leadership skills with strong cross-departmental management skills.
    • Experience working at a high-growth, entrepreneurial business; creative agency experience a plus.
