Digital Marketing Director develops and implements the digital marketing strategy and leads tactical operations to increase product demand, enhance sales, identify additional sales channels, attract traffic to the company website, and promote an online presence. Utilizes search engine optimization (SEO) analytics and search engine marketing (SEM) techniques to increase traffic to the website. Being a Digital Marketing Director leads the development, curation, and deployment of compelling content to attract, engage and retain visitors and promote sales. Employs social media, email, and mobile marketing campaigns. Additionally, Digital Marketing Director reviews online statistics, marketplace trends, and best practices to optimize online marketing performance. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Digital Marketing Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Digital Marketing Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.     Job Description

    We are looking for a talented and experienced Product Messaging Manager to drive our cloud and enterprise customer engagement strategy. In this role, you will be responsible for aligning our product roadmap with customer needs, emphasizing product differentiation, and crafting compelling messaging that resonates across various cloud segments. Additionally, you will play a pivotal role in training our sales and marketing teams, gathering customer insights, and collaborating with ecosystem partners to ensure successful product launches.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Product Messaging Strategy: Develop and execute a cohesive product messaging strategy tailored for cloud and enterprise customers, highlighting key differentiation and advantages of our offerings.

    Roadmap Alignment: Continuously assess customer needs and feedback to align our product roadmap with market demands, ensuring that our solutions remain competitive and relevant.

    Sales and Marketing Enablement: Train and equip our sales and marketing teams with a deep understanding of our product roadmap, enabling them to effectively engage with channel partners and drive sales.

    Segmented Messaging: Customize and adapt the product roadmap narrative from top-tier customers to resonate with different cloud segments, maximizing relevance and impact.

    Solution Identification: Identify  solutions to better align the product roadmap with evolving customer requirements and industry trends.

    Customer Insights: Develop strong relationships with customers, gather insights, and build a comprehensive model of long-term customer demand. Leverage data from various sources to shape product strategies and roadmap decisions.

    Customer Segment Messaging: Establish processes for customer segmentation, demand forecasting, and knowledge gathering to enhance internal information sharing and facilitate long-range forecasting.

    Engagement with Ecosystem Partners: Collaborate with ecosystem partners, including CPU and HBA suppliers, to ensure seamless interoperability and infrastructure support for our product launches.

    Proven experience in product marketing, messaging, or related roles within the cloud or enterprise technology industry.

    Qualifications

    Deep understanding of cloud computing technologies, enterprise software, and market dynamics.

    Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into compelling messages.

    Strong analytical skills, capable of synthesizing complex data to drive strategic decisions.

    Ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.

    Experience in customer relationship management and demand forecasting is a plus.

    Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field

    • The salary range is what we believe to be the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting.  We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in California, Colorado, New York or remote jobs that can be performed in California, Colorado and New York.  This range may be modified in the future.
    • You will be eligible to participate in Western Digital’s Short-Term Incentive (STI) Plan, which provides incentive awards based on Company and individual performance.  Depending on your role and your performance, you may be eligible to participate in our annual Long-Term Incentive (LTI) program, which consists of restricted stock units (RSUs) or cash equivalents, pursuant to the terms of the LTI plan.
