    Office Manager

    MSK Engineers, a Vermont-based multidisciplinary civil engineering firm, is searching for a full-time Office Manager to
    support our growing team of creative, collaborative, and community-oriented professionals with the organization and
    running of the daily administrative operations. This position is based in Bennington but would also extend to managing
    MSK’s office in Burlington.

    About us:
    Headquartered in the historic train station in Bennington, VT, we support a hybrid work environment with multiple
    regional and satellite offices, including Burlington and Montpelier. We specialize in site civil, environmental,
    geotechnical, permitting, regulatory assistance, transportation, survey, and construction administration, currently
    serving clients in VT, NY, and CO.

    We’ve been working in the public, nonprofit, and private sectors for over 30 years to support our mission of helping
    communities thrive by keeping people safe, healthy, and connected. From downtown redevelopment projects to the
    design of linked recreation trails for pedestrians and cyclists, to water system upgrades providing safe, clean drinking
    water to all citizens, we actively seek projects that assist disadvantaged communities, and we specialize in helping our
    clients overcome the financial and logistical challenges that accompany revitalization and redevelopment.

    About this position:
    A strong work ethic and positive and professional demeanor are requirements, and the successful candidate will be
    expected to be comfortable working at least 20 out of a 40-hour week in an office environment. This candidate should be
    a critical thinker, a team player, and be comfortable undertaking a variety of support tasks with a high degree of
    attention to detail. Responsibilities may include (but are not limited to):

    Human Resources

    • Assisting in implementing and continuing onboarding of new staff
    • Supporting the Director with ensuring employee benefits
    • Assisting with compliance with respect to state and federal employment laws
    • Ensuring compliance for OSHA and VOSHA standards
    • Managing staff resources and records related to HR, finance, and office management

    Finance

    • Assisting in processing and tracking vendor invoices and client payments
    • Assisting with the organization, processing, and payment of bills

    Office Management

    • Maintaining an equipment and fixed asset inventory
    • Ensuring adequate supply quantities for the office and assisting with purchases
    • Running local errands
    • Assisting with event planning, external trade shows, and promotional collateral production
    • All other duties as assigned

    You will need:

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Willingness to perform in person a minimum of 20 hours per week in our Bennington office
    • A driver’s license and own vehicle
    • Ability to analyze and solve problems independently and self-motivation to meet deadlines
    • Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools including Word and Excel
