Digital Design Engineering Director directs and oversees the digital design of integrated circuits and related development. Has overall responsibility for all phases of physical design including floor planning, clock synthesis, timing optimization and signal integrity. Being a Digital Design Engineering Director ensures the engineering design supports the goals and strategy of the business. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Digital Design Engineering Director typically reports to a top management. The Digital Design Engineering Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be a Digital Design Engineering Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.
