Colliers Project Leaders is looking for an OPM Director to manage K-12 Schools and Municipal Projects in Boston, MA!
An OPM Director is responsible for overseeing all projects in a designated region during the pre-interview, pre-design, design, construction, and close-out phases of projects. The Director is also responsible for developing protocols and serving as the lead during Business Development meetings or Project Interviews. Prospective candidates should have 10 years of experience with the MSBA on core program projects and be MCPPO certified.
Responsibilities
- Develop new opportunities to build a sustainable business backlog.
- Oversee a team of project managers and projects from pre-interview through close-out phases.
- Represent the Company in contract negotiations.
- Responsible for the overall service delivery, quality control, and management of Team.
- Provide project team direction/leadership (architect, contractor, owner, Company, etc.), as needed.
- Responsible for problem-solving, planning and organizing, and decision-making.
- Handles any escalated issues immediately and effectively.
- Financial responsibility for delivery of Company services (Team's profit & loss).
- Responsible for overall individual project financials.
- Reviews and updates invoices.
- Manage Client/Public/End User relationships.
- Leads major project team discussions, such as legal claims.
- Identifies Training needs and develops and leads training sessions.
- Assists with identifying project Team; develops interview presentation (technical writing); develops fee proposal; participates in interview and leads them, if not PIC.
- Identifies new clients; attends networking events regularly with Business Development; brings in new clients without PIC involvement.
- Other miscellaneous related duties, as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, preferred.
- Upon Hire: 15 years' experience in the building design/construction, architecture, engineering field, preferred.
- MCPPO certification required.
- Experience with MSBA preferred.
- OSHA-10 certification required.
- Certified PE and/or RA preferred.
- Providing leadership to direct and indirect reports.
- Clearly communicating the company mission and goals to employees.
- Managing staff assignments.
- Interviewing, hiring, disciplining, and terminating with the assistance of Human Resources.
- Drafting and conducting subordinates' performance evaluations; discussing salary adjustments.
- Providing employee coaching and training.
