Digital Collection Librarian maintains a library's digital collection of books, serials, documents, audiovisuals, or other materials, and assists groups and individuals in locating, obtaining and using materials. Trains others in the creation or preservation of digital resources and the use of the library's digital system(s). Being a Digital Collection Librarian is responsible for the library's open source projects and procures licenses for digital content. Interacts with IT staff in selecting/developing, implementing and maintaining the library's technical infrastructure. Additionally, Digital Collection Librarian requires a master's degree in library science from an ALA-accredited school in a related field. Typically reports to a director. The Digital Collection Librarian manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Digital Collection Librarian typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Mount Rushmore National Memorial is host to almost three million visitors a year from across the country and around the world. Visitors come to enjoy the majestic beauty of the Black Hills of South Dakota and to learn about the history of the Memorial. Xanterra is proud to serve the Memorial in managing its’ guest services operations including: Food & Beverage, Retail, Parking and support services. 

    The Human Resources Manager is responsible for the HR initiatives and goals to meet the Memorial’s business objectives. Visitation from all over the world grows significantly in the summer months, which provides a unique & memorial experience for our employees. This position manages all Human Resources functions including talent engagement, benefits & compensation, compliance, training, employee relations and HR strategic initiatives. This position oversees a seasonal HR Assistant and is part of the Memorial’s senior leadership team. During the off season, this position’s primary focus is domestic and international recruitment reporting to our Corporate Talent Team.


    Responsibilities

    Talent Engagement: Manages the recruitment process and initiatives to hire 175 seasonal and year round employees. Implements and administers advertising, application screening, hiring process and J1 international program.

     

    Employee Culture: Ensures a thriving employee culture inclusive of development opportunities, recreation programs and a positive living environment (Company owned and operated housing including dormitories and RV areas).

     

    HR Administration: Administer employee electronic & paper file maintenance, benefits programs, compensation, performance management, policies & procedures, and compliance with all applicable federal and state laws.

     

    Training: Ensure training standards are being properly executed and lead training as needed. Partner with operations leaders to identify training needs and create & implement training content.

     

    Employee Communication & Recognition: Establish and administer communication and recognition programs.  Ensure any open door policy and manage all employee relations issues.  Partner with all levels of management in resolving employee relations issues.

     


    Qualifications

    • 5 years of previous “hands on” Human Resources management experience ideally with increasing responsibility.
    • Proficient in management of full cycle recruiting.
    • In depth HR compliance knowledge.
    • Employee investigation and management coaching experience is highly preferred.
    • Prior experience with seasonal operations a plus.
    • Strong relationship & communication skills. Able to convey ideas effectively to a variety of audiences and establish effective relationships.
    • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office. Lawson, Kronos and/or iCIMS experience a plus.
    • Bachelor degree preferred.
    • Hospitality experience preferred.
    • PHR/SPHR highly preferred.
    • Valid Driver’s License and good driving record.
    • TIPS and ServSafe certification desirable.
    • First Aid and CPR preferred.

    COMPENSATION:  The salary range for this position is $62,400.00 - $79,539.00.
