Dietitian, Sr. reviews physicians diagnosis and designs and implements therapeutic nutritional care plans for patients utilizing general dietetic standards and regulations. Monitors and documents patient progress and consults with physicians as needed. Being a Dietitian, Sr. educates and provides guidance to staff, patients, and families regarding diet and food plans. Administers and advises food service operations to ensure menus comply with prescribed nutritional plans. Additionally, Dietitian, Sr. may supervise less experienced dieticians. Requires a bachelor's degree. Requires Registered Dietitian (RD) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN). Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Dietitian, Sr. work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project. Practices evidence-based, best practice, patient-centered nutrition care that is safe, effective, efficient, timely, and reflects the quality Plan for Mason Health.# Communicates with the Culinary and Nutrition Services department to develop and implement nutritionally appropriate menus to accommodate the various needs of the inpatient population.# Functions as an essential part of the Mason General Hospital patient care team, providing nutritional expertise and collaborating with other disciplines to support optimal patient outcomes. Manages the Mason Health employee wellness program, including employee nutrition education, wellness events, and other engagement opportunities. Creates community-relevant nutrition presentations and educates those within the hospital district as needed.## Utilizes evidence-based research to provide input on quality improvement plans and policy and procedure development related to nutrition therapy.# May function as a clinical preceptor for Dietetic Interns.
