Plans menus, inspects food to ensure portions adhere to set restrictions and dietary standards. Being a Dietitian - Home Care requires a bachelor's degree. Requires state license to practice. Additionally, Dietitian - Home Care requires Registered Dietitian (RD). Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Dietitian - Home Care occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. The Therapeutic Dietitian is responsible for planning and delivering comprehensive nutritional care according to the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Standards of Practice and Standards for Professional Performance. Provides education to members of the community/patients and residents. In the long-term care setting, performs as a member of the interdisciplinary team, conducting assessments, completing MDS's/CAA's and care planning responsibilities.
