Dietitian - Home Care conducts assessments of patient/caretaker nutritional needs to implement nutritional care plan complying with the medical diagnosis needs. Plans menus, inspects food to ensure portions adhere to set restrictions and dietary standards. Being a Dietitian - Home Care requires a bachelor's degree. Requires state license to practice. Additionally, Dietitian - Home Care requires Registered Dietitian (RD). Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Dietitian - Home Care occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Description
Registered Dietitian
Registered Dietitians build trusting relationships with patients and their families and utilize dietary education and planning to directly affect their patients' quality of life. Responsibilities include completing patient assessments, creating patient specific nutritional plans, and providing ongoing nutritional support. The qualified candidate must be registered with the Commission of Dietetic Registration. Applicant must also have current licensure in the state or at least one year of clinical nutrition experience. Experience with ESRD patient preferred.
