We are Fast Talk Laboratories, LLC, and The Paleo Diet, LLC—two brands that are part of the same umbrella company, Built By Nature and Science, Inc. We’re seeking a full-time content manager to work with us from our HQ in Boulder, Colorado.

The ideal candidate has not only experience, but also thinks outside the box and beyond what's been trending. They’re adept at working in a fast-paced multimedia environment and can handle all aspects of a social media role. They will create and maintain a strong online presence for both companies - Fast Talk Laboratories and The Paleo Diet. They will implement strategies through social media accounts in an effort to increase brand awareness and support the goals of both companies. Additionally, this individual will understand the target audience and provide regular recommendations to enrich the content team's strategy to reach this group.

You’ll be working closely with our content team to ensure both Fast Talk Laboratories and The Paleo Diet social media accounts are running smoothly day-to-day. Our content production cycle stays on track through effective communication and collaboration, and the content we produce is engaging, informative, and accurate, whether it’s written, audio, or video. It’s important you’re a self-starter and team player who can juggle a number of assignments at any one time—and still keep smiling. This role involves content creation and coordination (under guidance of content manager and chief content officer), communication on behalf of the company in direct messages, reporting on results, and keeping a social media pulse across both industries.

Fast Talk Laboratories is a new and fast-growing sport science and coaching knowledge base from the creators of the Fast Talk podcast. We tap the most engaging experts in endurance sports, sport science, and related fields to share knowledge and experience with our members.

The Paleo Diet® is the modern, science-based interpretation of the ways humans evolved eating before the rise of agriculture. Based on the research of our founder Dr. Loren Cordain, The Paleo Diet is now backed by thousands of peer-reviewed research studies and has become the most influential diet of the past 20 years.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Align with content team on social media strategy and then help to execute and continuously improve that strategy.

· Manage the social media calendar and ensure timely publishing of professional quality content across multiple platforms.

· Develop intentional relationships across social media with well-known industry leads and day-to-day followers.

· Work with content team to develop, edit, and proofread social media posts and captions.

· Utilize social media scheduling apps, design and graphics apps, and some editing of video content.

· Find and select imagery to support posts.

· Work with our video and podcast producers to ensure video and podcast content posted for social media is the highest quality.

· Collaborate with our marketing department when needed.

· Research target audience and discover current trends.

· Create engaging text, video, and image content.

· Monitor web traffic.

· Develop optimal posting schedule.

Newsletter Production for The Paleo Diet:

· As an interim responsibility, align with content manager and chief content officer on content strategy and then help to execute that strategy through meaningful and engaging newsletters and appropriately edited content

· Manage the newsletters for The Paleo Diet with the support of the content team and ensure timely publishing of professional quality content

·. Provide regular reports on newsletters and relay feedback about copy-editing trends in submitted content to content manager

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience in journalism, media, or related fields.

· 2-4 years’ experience in content creation and social media management.

· Excellent written and communication skills including copywriting, copyediting, and proofreading.

· In-depth experience and expertise with social media scheduling and reporting software as well as all social media apps.

· Basic proficiency with photo research, permissions, and use of photo and video editing software including Canva, Photoshop, and InDesign.

· A passion for endurance sports (cycling, running, triathlon, swimming) and a deep understanding of endurance sports training and terminology. Exercise physiology knowledge is encouraged.

· A passion for nutrition and a strong knowledge of nutrition terminology and dietary approaches. Health science knowledge is encouraged.

· Experience with Airtable, or quick-learning skills to adopt new tech platforms.

· High degrees of self-management, flexibility, and organization to execute on simultaneous projects in a fast-paced environment.

Full-time position, hybrid location: 3 days/week in Boulder office.
