Overview: Doc’s Diet is a thriving small business that has been practicing in the central valley for over 23 years. We are seeking a dedicated, hardworking individual to join our team. Whether you have experience as an MA or are a person with the drive to learn more, we have a job for you. Doc’s Diet currently has three locations. When coming to work with us, you will work alongside well trained medical assistants and a practitioner. Services include, taking patient’s weight and blood pressure, giving patient an injection if desired and diet counseling.

Summary: You will be expected to provide basic administrative, clerical and technical support services under the supervision of a licensed provider. Assist the practitioner in implementing the diet plan to include obtaining medical history, accurate vital signs, medication administration, phone calls, and scheduling. Depending on the position, travel to various clinic locations may be required.

Qualifications:

Education: High School Diploma or GED

Completion of Medical Assistant course (preferred but not required)

Special Skills/Knowledge:

• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively and professionally in English.
• Ability to operate office equipment; copy machine, business phone with multiple lines, etc.
• Ability to properly document in electronic chart, take vital signs, prepare exam rooms, administer injections.
• Knowledge of computers and their applications
• Knowledge of what constitutes a medical emergency requiring the attention of a practitioner.
• Organizational skills are important
• Excellent customer service skills are required
• Ability to be efficient, flexible and learn quickly
• Ability to speak both English and Spanish is preferred but not required

Hrs Per 2wk Pay Period: Approximately 80
