Diagnostic Imaging Supervisor supervises and coordinates the activities of staff in a diagnostic imaging department such as nuclear medicine, MRI, radiology, computer-assisted tomography or ultrasound. Monitors the adherence to all diagnostic imaging policies, procedures, and services. Being a Diagnostic Imaging Supervisor requires a bachelor's degree, certification with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Diagnostic Imaging Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Thorough knowledge of department processes.     Bridging the South Bay Community Imaging functions for acute care and ambulatory services", the Imaging Services Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, directing and supervising the daily operations of Imaging Services in San Pedro and Torrance. The manager will work very closely with Torrance's Imaging Services Supervisor ensuring operations are consistent, effective, and efficient while collectively ensuring best practices are being used across Imaging Services for the South Bay Community.

    Required Qualifications:

    • Associate's Degree in Applied Technology, Radiologic Technology or a related field

    • National Certified MRI Technologist - American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists upon hire or

    • National Certification from Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board upon hire or

    • National Certification from American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography upon hire or

    • National Certification from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists upon hire

    • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire

    • California Diagnostic Radiologic Technology Certification upon hire or

    • California Fluoroscopy Certificate/Permit upon hire or

    • California Therapeutic Radiologic Technology Certification upon hire or

    • California Diagnostic and Therapeutic Radiologic Technology Certification upon hire or

    • National Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer upon hire

    • 5 years hospital experience as a Radiologic Technologist or other imaging discipline

    • 3 years progressive hospital leadership positions

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree

    • Greenbelt Certification," or equivalent performance improvement certification
