JOB SUMMARY of ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Works under the direction of the Chief Administrative Officer and is responsible for daily operations and oversight of the Imaging Services departments and staff. Adheres to all hospital Policies and Procedures, while exhibiting the EvergreenHealth Monroe Standards of Excellence. Assumes responsibility for maintenance of standards as applicable and development of innovative approaches toward improvement of services provided. Develops and institutes plans aimed at coordination of imaging services. Provides ongoing personnel management and evaluates staff performance in accordance with organizational policies.
REQUIRED EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE; CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE:
Requires active WA State Radiology Technologist (RT) license in good standing, current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Bachelor of Science preferred. Attention to detail, organizational skills, excellent communication, and interpersonal skills required. Previous management and leadership experience required, with financial management experience preferred. Demonstrated clinical expertise in area standards. Will complete National Incident Management System (NIMS) 100 and 700 healthcare certification within 60 days of employment.
SPECIAL EQUIPMENT, SKILLS OR OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
1. Demonstrated clinical expertise in one diagnostic imaging modality at minimum.
2. Communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
3. Possess a working knowledge of healthcare quality measures and safety initiatives, regulatory requirements, financial management, and vendor/external partnerships.
4. Must be versatile, cooperative, self-motivated, and have good customer service skills.
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND HAZARDS:
Adheres to all State and Federal regulations pertaining to hazardous materials and BBP. Risks to include exposure to communicable disease, hazardous substances, and risk of physical injury from lifting patients.
WORK CONTACT GROUP: All hospital departments, patients, physicians, visitors and office staff.
SPECIAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds and transport and transfer patients. Must be able to bend, stoop, push and pull. Walks, stands, and sits for periods of time.
