Diagnostic Imaging Manager plans and implements the overall diagnostic imaging policies, procedures, and services for several departments which may include nuclear medicine, MRI, radiology, computer-assisted tomography and ultrasound. Ensures efficient and effective departmental operations. Being a Diagnostic Imaging Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Requires a certification with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Additionally, Diagnostic Imaging Manager typically reports to a director.     JOB DESCRIPTION:

    The Diagnostic Imaging Tech II functions at a higher level of expertise within Radiology, including Diagnostic Imaging Tech I functions. They demonstrate progressive knowledge, a sense of responsibility and a high level of commitment in the daily operations of the Radiology area. In addition to Diagnostic Imaging Tech I functions, they proficiently operate a variety of x-ray equipment to perform routine radiographs, according to established practices under the direction of a radiologist, supervisor, and lead technologists. Assist in the clinical instruction of radiography students and other personnel as needed. Contribute to the development of policies, procedures, standards, objectives and quality assurance needs of the department. May be required to work a variety of shifts, at multiple campuses, weekends, holidays, and take call on a rotational basis.

    EDUCATION:

    Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology approved by CAHEA/JERCT. ARRT certified and licensed with the State of Vermont.

    EXPERIENCE:

    ARRT certified and hold a current license with the State of Vermont.
