Diagnostic Imaging Manager plans and implements the overall diagnostic imaging policies, procedures, and services for several departments which may include nuclear medicine, MRI, radiology, computer-assisted tomography and ultrasound. Ensures efficient and effective departmental operations. Being a Diagnostic Imaging Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Requires a certification with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Additionally, Diagnostic Imaging Manager typically reports to a director. The Diagnostic Imaging Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Diagnostic Imaging Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Job Summary: We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Diagnostic Radiologist to join our hospital affiliated single-specialty group. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in all general modalities, including Nuclear Medicine. This role requires the individual to be comfortable with a call schedule of one weekend day per month, with overnight call covered by a nighthawk service.

     

    Roles and Responsibilities:

     

    • Conduct diagnostic imaging studies

    • Provide accurate and timely diagnostic interpretation

    • Communicate findings to other healthcare professionals

    • Facilitate the delivery of quality care

    • Meet productivity targets

    • Follow established protocols and safety regulations

    • Maintain patient records

    • Participate in research activities

    • Stay abreast of advances in Radiology

     

    Qualifications:

     

    • MD/DO from an accredited medical school

    • Board certification in Radiology

    • Valid medical license

    • Previous experience in a clinical setting preferred

    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively

    • Commitment to quality patient care

     

    Experience and Skills:

     

    • Proficient in diagnostic imaging studies

    • Familiarity with state and national regulations

    • Ability to work a flexible schedule

    • Proficient in electronic health records

    • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills

    • Strong attention to detail
