Overview

To manage, supervise and coordinate the activities and operations of the Group Sales Department for Blue FCU Arena; complete oversight of The Home Run Bar & Grill sales and booking;

and to provide highly responsible staff assistance to higher-level management staff. Hourly plus commision.

This role will pay a salary of $19.23 to $24.04.

About the Venue

The Blue Arena at The Ranch Events Complex, located in Loveland, Colorado, is a 6,500 seat multi-purpose venue, which opened in September 2003, and is home to the of the American Hockey League.

The arena, which is owned by Larimer County, is managed by and OVG Hospitality, the fastest growing firm in the public assembly facility management field with more than 300 facilities throughout the United States and Canada.

This multipurpose facility can host hockey, basketball, football, family shows in any configuration, rodeos, diverse concert settings in various capacities, trade shows and several dozen setups to accommodate just about any event.

The Blue Arena, less than an hour's drive from Denver and Cheyenne, has become the focal point for sports and entertainment in Northern Colorado.

The Blue Arena is part of a larger 374,000 square-foot fairground complex called The Ranch which is the official name of the Larimer County Fairgrounds and Events Complex.

Phase I of the project included 6 buildings and roughly 150 acres of site work. The Ranch includes the Mac Equipment, Inc.

Indoor Arena, two livestock pavilions, the First National Bank Exhibition Building and the Thomas M. McKee Building. The Blue Arena and The Ranch has become the sports, entertainment, and agricultural hub for one of the fastest growing areas in the country.

Responsibilities

• Manage, implement, and execute all goals, objectives, policies, and priorities of all Group Sales programs and activities
• Assist the Director of Booking with the sales team efforts at the facility
• Develop and implement event group sales plans
• Track and manage daily, weekly, monthly sales reports and provide regular updates to management team
• Create sales goals, on a per event basis, for Group Sales department & Event Rental Spaces
• Plan and coordinate special events for businesses, fans, and all applicable customers
• Qualify contacts and large groups through e-mail database system
• Foster and develop new qualified client relationships
• Handle day-to-day group sales & arena sales operations : fielding inbound calls, conducting outbound call blocks, and scheduling off site meetings with clients
• Develop strategy, coordinate bookings, and execute contracts for a variety of user groups (internal and external) for facility events occurring inside The Home Run Bar & Grill
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

• College Degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, Hospitality / Sports Management, Business or a related field is preferred
• Prior sales experience preferred
• Intermediate knowledge of social media platforms
• Working knowledge of Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Previous event or entertainment marketing experience a plus
• Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
• Well organized with ability to prioritize and handle multiple assignments
• Flexible-must be available to work evenings, weekends, and all event days as assigned
• Team player who is creative and a proactive problem solver
• Ticketing experience preferred, but not required
• Ability to travel as required
• Willingness to work the hours necessary to meet sales goals
