ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conduct ASAM clinical assessments
• Administer follow-up assessments
• Conduct group and individual therapeutic interventions
• Utilize approved curriculum to facilitate groups and provide individual treatment to residents
• Evaluate and report progress and outcome of treatment services
• Complete intakes, reports, clinical assessments, service plans, clinical notes, discharge summaries, and other related documentation in a timely manner.
• Work collaboratively with the client to develop a comprehensive treatment plan that addresses priority needs of the client, an agreed upon plan of action, and desired treatment outcomes.
• Participate in mental health on call.
• Provide crisis intervention and de-escalation services
• Possess knowledge of DSV V diagnostic criteria and make accurate diagnoses
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
• Exercise professional judgement.
• Use professional discretion to make independent decisions.
• Incorporate the use of Evidenced Based Practices and Motivational Interviewing skills.

SUPERVISION EXERCISED: None

EDUCATION/ WORK EXPERIENCE:

Master’s degree in a social service field with corresponding licensure (LPC, LCSW); Addiction Specialist Certification (CAS) or Addiction Counselor License (LAC) with Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA) required.
