Position Overview: JAG Development is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Payable Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling accounts payable tasks while also serving as the front desk representative, welcoming, and assisting visitors with a friendly and professional demeanor. Proficiency in QuickBooks is a key requirement for this role.
Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable:
- Process bills and expenses accurately and timely, matching them with purchase orders and receipts.
- Verify and reconcile vendor statements, addressing discrepancies as needed.
- Utilize QuickBooks to manage financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date records of financial transactions.
Front Desk Duties:
- Greet and assist visitors with a warm and professional attitude.
- Answer and direct phone calls to the appropriate personnel.
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail and packages.
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk area.
Communication and Collaboration:
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices.
- Communicate effectively with vendors to resolve any payment-related inquiries.
- Work closely with team members to support overall office efficiency.
Documentation and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Utilize QuickBooks to maintain accurate and organized financial records.
- Contribute to the improvement of accounts payable processes.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Coordinator or in a similar role.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Proficiency in QuickBooks is a must.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Excel
- Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in accounting is a plus.
- Previous experience in a construction or related industry is preferred.
