Our client, located in Wilmington, is the first non-profit coding training program in Delaware, founded to build a diverse and job ready tech talent pipeline for the area with a mission of supporting the economic development of the region.
They produce entry-level software developers and data engineers through an immersive 12-week curriculum with 3 cohorts per year which are designed in partnership with corporate partners.
Since 2015, they have trained over 600 software developers and transformed the lives of their graduates.
About the Role :
The Business Development Coordinator plays a pivotal role in helping to increase and encourage corporate partnerships with the program by fostering relationships and opening lines of communication with hiring and community partners and stakeholders statewide in Delaware.
This requires warmth, approachability, accessibility, transparency, composure, adaptability, and tact. Moreover, the Coordinator should at all times make others feel understood and comfortable.
This requires an experienced Coordinator who is reliable and consistent in their communications and work ethic, and who can develop and maintain a calendar of events to accommodate multiple requests and conflicts.
They are responsible for the daily management of contacts, tracking job postings that their students are qualified for and communicating with Alumni regarding their job seeking status.
Additionally, the Coordinator will track data relating to hiring and placement of students while managing contracts for placed students.
Most importantly, the Coordinator will work closely with the Director of Corporate Partnerships to provide administrative support for the hiring and placement of students to ensure that every current and prospective Corporate Partner feels that their time and efforts are valued and appreciated.

While the position will work most closely with the Director of Corporate Partnerships, there will also be projects which require the Coordinator will work with the Office Manager and the Director of
Admissions & Professional Development as well. The Coordinator must also understand that they are assisting prospective students in a life-changing process and should have the emotional intelligence to gracefully handle the stress and difficulties that come with that process.

Education and Experience :
3 year of work experience in Office Administration (Required)
